We have the basilisk,but what about the other 3 heavies?Is it coming out soon,or do you have to buy on forge world?

Well, the Chimera is available to start up a build, but other than that is FW for you.

I assume you're referring to the Medusa, Colossus and Griffon?

You might be able to find an old Griffon on ebay or the swap but this is the way that GW can keep FW in business.

Do GW sell the Griffon parts as a bitz pack?

There have been romours of a third IG release wave, consisting of plastic storm troopers, plastic rough riders and an "artillery box" in the same vien as the Leman russ box. I Chimera chassis with several different weapon fit outs. My money being on Basalisk, colosus and Griffon they would probably have to do a further kit to accomodate the Death strike and the bombard due to the amount of sprues required to make the last two.

What about the Manticore?

I do not see the old GW Griffon on the GW site. I know it was out during 3rd Ed. All it was a bigger IG morter. You could scratch one out of a Bassy chassie, plastic tube and bitz from an IG morter and team. You could even magnatize it so you can make a bassy and a griffon.

Sorry I forgot to include the Manticore with the Deathstrike/Bombard set. All of this is purely speculation though, and knowing how good GW are at weeing in our bonfires they will probably not release any of the heavies and just tell us to make our own out of a washing up liquid bottle. Oh and by the way did we mention that our next exciting edition of WD is dedicated to the new GW washing up liquid bottle?

I think if you can find a 1:35 scale crusader AA tank the turret should fit on a Chimera with a little bit of work till they make the Manticore kit in plastic. The turret from what I remember if you remove the AA gun looks close.

Incidentaly does anyone knows what is the deal with the Leman Russ? And by that I mean the varieties not covered by the Demolisher box. Being new to Guard I failed to grab a Russ before my FLGS sold out.

We don't know when new heavies are coming out or even if any new heavies are coming out. GW, in their infinate wisdom, would rather tell us nothing about upcoming releases rather than hype them with previews because... umm... because they have no business sense.

I must agree with Hbmc on this,

it makes no sense what so ever to keep these things in the dark, much more sense to whet people's appetites with previews.

As for IG tanks,
I think FW will get more stuff before the regular range increases. But there is potentially another IG release to their normal schedule (IE another wave potentially) but that is only going on what they generally do.

GW doesn't put out release schedules to prevent you from saving up for a release. Example, lets say you need 3 griffins and there's a kit coming out in a month. Many people will wait to make a purchase. If you don't know about the new release you might spend your money on other GW products and when the griffin is released you have to have it. Thus you scrape up the cash.

This is how it was explained to me from a GW retail sales rep as to the lack of a release schedule.
