Does using a GKGM to represent a Avenger/Might C:SM Librarian sound crazy/cheesey?

Do you mean allying a grand master to your space marine army? Or using the gray knight model as your librarian?

The first one I'd have no problem with, and I'd be fine with the other as long as you told me beforehand.

The Seraphs of Thunder: a homebrew, almost entirely converted successor Deathwing. And also some Orks. And whatever else I have lying around.

I used a GK model with some light conversions to build a Terminator Librarian.

I mean using a model like the Space Hulk Terminator Librarian, but using the rules of a GKGM.

In a Space Marine army or a Gray Knight army?

The Emperor doesn't seem to do much for you but you sure are expected to be mutilated, suffer, and die to make him happy. And is he dead or what? If he's entombed that would mean he's dead as a doornail, right? So, how can he be happy about anything you do, or even give orders to anyone? Are you worshipping the dead now? Is that something you'd really want to do? Because it sounds freaking creepy to me.

I used BK Stern as my librarian with a few modifications:

The Libby from the SH box is awesome. Seeing as it's a special character, you may just want to add a bit or two denoting the GK, otherwise I think it doesn't really matter.

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester
The Gatling Guns have flamethrowers on them because this is 40k - DOW III

Space Marine. I just don't think the current Libby stats do them justice, and thought a GKGM would be a better fit.

I don't have the DH codex in front of me atm, but I think you can use SM allies with GK. IIRC, you would be limited to just tac squads though. Maybe that's WH though.

Or you could play Dark Angels where the librarian can actually fight his way out of a wet paper bag.

You can use GK allies with SMs, but not SM Allies with GKs. The DH Codex specifically states that if you bring GKs in a DH army, you may not choose SMs as Allied Troops and vice versa.

Yes, I rather like my librarian and his "older" abilities.

Thanks, P4th. GK libby's are pretty cool.
