Having finished my evil army for lotr i've decided to start a good amy, my main question is that what would be better to take, normal warriors of Gondor or rangers? Also I need to decide what hero to take, i'm leaning more for a named hero like aragon but I wonder whether he is worth his points and if those points would be better spent on a couple of captains and more troops. Any advice is welcome.

I would get these-
1x box of rangers- possibly the best archers in the game, hit on 3+.
1x knights of minas tirith- good against archers and enemy calvary
I would get faramir on horse and on foot and beregond and damrod. Really cheap heroes that give you alot of might, will, fate.

Thats just what i would get.

The named heroes are always better for the points, so unless you're going for a particular flavour (which is cool) they're always worth a look.

For high points games, nothing beats Boromir for sheer awesome choppy heroic fun.
