Deployment:

Win the Tarot roll and get first turn.

Bunkered back in my zone with Sisters, PBS, ready to move forward on left flank and block movement lanes. Russ to into Line of sight on right flank. Both Vendettas on Left Flank to pop forward, Valk on right flank with Veterans sitting at the back door.

He setup in a convoy with LRs in front, Razorbacks in back. Troops on his objective and behind his convoy. Dread on far side to swoop around to his other objective. Chapter master was behind the convoy ready to jump into a razorback. I warn him about Alpha Strike capability in the list, he keeps his Convoy configuration intact.

Pre-Turn 1
Creed gives Veteran's scout and they board Valkyrie and fly 24 forward on right flank getting within about 14 of his LR line. Vendettas swoop up 24 and hide behind terrain on the left flank.

He attempts to seize and fails.


My Turn 1:
Valkyrie moves 24, veterans Grav chute right next to LR into cover (lost one on Dangerous Roll).

Sisters and PBS move forward. Sisters are on a road and move 18". Front rhino pops smoke. PBS is hiding behind center terrain.

Veterans use Bastonne to BID. LR Pops to Melta. Bad scatter on demo charge kills random marines and 2 Vets.

Vendetta pops the other LR with a 6! Second vendetta vaporizes 2 Terms in the wreckage.

Manticores drop pie plates and kill a few marines and veterans. No damage to convoy from pie plates.

LR Executioner moves up to see his squads.

I move and Run Run Run two squads to take objectives. The other one is in my line, so I leave a squad on top.

Score - 3 to 1, me.


His Turn 1:

Term Squad from the first land raider move towards Sisters rhinos.

2nd Term squad (1 guy left) moves towards Veterans for revenge.

Tac Squads shoot Vets and we're down to 2 (Bastonne and MG).

Orbital Barrage kills half the PCS and they break. 2 Guys out of an IS, they stick.

Dread fires and drops a Vendetta. Valkyrie is downed by massed ML fire from Tacs. No extract for those Vets is coming.

Term Sargeant moves to assault Bastonne, no wounds either side.

His Razorbacks move forward (except the one for the Chapter Master). Luckily there is room where the LR was.

Score - 3 to 1, me.


My Turn 2

Marbo comes in and drops a demo charge, killing another Vet, a couple tacs and the Terminator Sgt who assaulted Bastonne. Bastonne makes his Cover save and consolidates.

Sisters roll forward. One heads for his forward objective getting within 3, the other zeros in on the Terminators.

PBS gets LOS to the Terminator squad and Weaken Resolves them. Sisters drop a HF and MG into them with Divine Guidance. I kill 2, they break and fall back into LOS of the Executioner. Executioner drops 14 wounds on them and they disappear in a fine mist.

Manticores drops on some Tacs and fails to pin.

Bastonne charges a Tac Squad and dies horribly to bolter hits to the head.

Score - 4 to 1, me.


His Turn 2

Scout Speeders drop in. One comes within range of the Mystics and takes the full shooting of the Inquisitor Squad and drops. 3 Scouts killed in the explosion.

The other one lands on target directly behind my Manticores. This was a ballsy move and he deserved the result since he was so close to the edge, impassable terrain and the mystics. Mystics fail to see him, his speeder takes out one Manticore and the scouts the other.

His other shooting is uneventful. Marbo is nuked, Dread misses the other Vendetta and no real damage to my girls in Rhinos. His chapter master starts the drive forward in the razorback.

Score - 4 to 1, me.


My Turn 3

I run a squad with Commissar to the Scouts in the back. BID on the Land Speeder from my ML squad and it is stunned. Grrr.

Remaining scouts from the other landspeeder die to FRFSRF and AC.

Vendetta drops the dread. (YAY!)

Girls drop a ton of glances on the razorbacks and remove a gun. PBS does nothing cool.

Autocannons pop a Razorback moving up the right flank. Squad pops out and is incinerated by the Executioner.


His Turn 3

His scouts assault my Commissar squad. He pops one of the girl's rhinos. He runs all of his tac squads forward towards objectives.

Chapter Master RB fires at the Executioner and does nothing.

Score - 4 to 1, me.


My Turn 4

Scouts win the assault on my turn. Dammit. I rolled truly poorly. I figured I would win with my numbers and Commissar power fist so did not invest more.

ML Squad BID the Speeder and wrecks it.

Vendetta fails to pop the RB of the Chapter Master.

Girls shoot apart one of his squads with Torrent, leaving just the PF sargent.

Other girls cozy up to objective and pop another RB. Squad pops out and is pinned.

He is down to just his Chapter M's RB. My containment strategy has worked as all of his forces are now stuck in his deployment zone except for his CM.

Score - 4 to 1, me.


His Turn 4
Assault squad comes in and lands on the right flank by the LR Executioner. (Ouch).

He immobilizes the LR with his CM Razorback.

He shoots at the girls and does nothing, but charges with the PF Sarge and I cannot kill him for the life of me. We stick.

Tac Squads comes around the corner near his other objective and start getting into the fight with bolter fire. ML from the squad on his first objective pops my last rhino and the girls pop out on his 2nd objective.

He assaults with his scout squad and dies horribly to an eviscerator from the priest.

Score - 4 to 1, me.


My Turn 5
Girls in HTH fail to kill the PF Sarge. He drops a few more and we run and get swept (Rolled a 10!)

Backfield drops everything into the Assault squad. Between all the FRFSRF and 4 Hits Scatters with The Executioner, they are a fine red mist.

Vendetta pops the Command Squad RB.

PBS fails to do anything Cool. (Weakens a Tac squad and then I drop all my local fire into them, but fail to kill them.) They are immobilized on difficult terrain.

2nd girl squad vapes that tac squad with HF/MG/Torrent. (There are two squads there and I was hoping to break one with local fire than vape the other with the sisters).

Score - 4 to 1, me.


His Turn 5

Command Squad runs for cover.

Tactical charge my sisters on his second objective, pulling them off, but fail to do any wounds.

His remaining powerfist sarge attacks the PBS Chim and kills the multilaser.

Score - 3 to 1, me.


My Turn 6

Executioner lives up to it's name and erases the command squad except for the Chapter Master who takes 2 wounds.

PBS can't shake the sargent and he blows up the vehicle on my assault phase (it didn't move obviously)

Sisters are stuck in and can't shake the Tacticals (even with Str 5, Init 1 faith action).

Backfield secure position and holds objectives.

Score - 3 to 1, me.


His Turn 6

Chapter Master takes cover.

Tac Squad draws combat again.

Sargent with PF and another remnant squad blow up the PBS Chimera with Glances.

He rolls and Game Ends

Score - 3 to 1, me.


Looking back Executioner was probably the MVP of the game, taking down almost 3x its points value. Close second would have to be the Vendetta/Valk/Vet alpha strike which took out two land raiders and most of a term squad at the bottom of one.

The Sisters did a great job pushing forward, blocking progress and tarpitting on his objective.

Overall a pretty awesome and fun game.

Yeah, I figured I could take out one of his LRs first turn, but two was just insane. And then smacking some termies down with extra fire was icing on the cake.

I'll have to pull some pics together of the army.

The sisters and a bunch of the guard are all from my sisters army. I used Necromunda Redemptionists for the bulk of my guard (since they were left over from 3rd edition as actual redemptionists.)

To my great shame in this game, the Valkyries were Rhinos with Gliders laying on the top of them. We were going to use devilfish for count-as, but my opponent forgot to bring them. lol

Overall, I've been trying to find priest, preacher, etc models to replace the guard equivalent. So Uriah is Creed in this list.

Head down to your FLGS and look through the Reaper minis if they've got them. I'm using this Selene the Unbroken for a Primaris Psyker. The cross obviously gets shaved off.
