Hi there people and creatures. Along time ago, about 3-4 to be exact, I got my filthy mits on templates for a warhound titan. and of course, being the newbe in the hobby, I HAD to go for the biggest, hardest project. It took about a year to finish, and of course, it wasn't what you would call... um, good.
Heres one of the only pictues I could find of it.

as you see, not so good, plus the fact that it has a buzz saw, which warhounds cant really have cc weapons. This buzz saw is not on my stompa, so that problem is solved.

Anyway, I decided to strip this down, and take my time, and redo this, piece by piece, to make it something I'm actualy proud of.
So, i tore it apart, and had at it with a dremel tool sander, here is the main body, all sanded down, ready for greenstuff.

I went over it with a grey primer, so its easy to see what changes I have made.

I didn't really do a whole lot with the body, but i'm not completely done with the body.

Next up were the legs, I really had fun doing these.

With the top of the legs, I tried to make it look like there was muscle underneath, going for the biomechanical look. Although the pictures aren't that good, I think you can see it sticking out.

With this leg, I added some chaos arrows that I saw on the FW chaos titan, I think they turned out pretty nicely.

With this leg I went for the erroded, rusted, decaying look, I basically went at it with my hobby knife and dremel tool. A differnt look then the other leg, but I like it.

Also, with this leg, I tried to model some tendon/ muscle looking things around the joint, I will probably re-do this part, as its not my favorite.

Finally, The parts I have yet to start. The head, joints, and gun. Although I'm thinking I'll just scrap the head and make another, its not that hard, plus I don't think I'm gonna do the eye filled head look.

What thinks the people of Dakka? C&C very welcome

If I may sugguest puss cannon arms, thier always cool and very nurgly! So for it is looking nice keep up the work.

"They shall be my finest Cannon Fodder, these men who give themselves to me. Like clay I will mold them and in the furnace of war they will become cracked and broken. They will be of tissue paper and whimpy muscle. In tissue paper armor I clad them and with the mightiest flashlights they will be armed. They will be touched by every sort of plauge or disease to help further make them unhappy, all sickness will blight them. They will have almost no tactics, strategies, but lots of machines so that they can atleast stand up to a foe in battle. They are my tar pit against the Terror. They are the bulk of Humanity. They are my Imperial Guard and they will know much fear!"

Looking good so far, a definate improvement over the old style.

When you finish this, it would be a prime candidate for the old model <-> new model thread.

Thanks for the comments. Puss cannon... Now that sounds good and nurgly. Since I need another weapon, I'll look into that. Does anyone have any pictures of one of those? I don't know what they look like.

Another thing, when I get around to painting this doohicky I'm going to have to look into more weathering techniques, it'll be interesting. Any helpful tips on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

All of the puss cannons I've seen have 2 things in common: 1) tubes haphazardly jabbed into the fleshy base of the cannon, running from external vats of green goo and 2) an uncomfortable resemblance to a certain part of the male anatomy (uncut and extra lumpy, of course - it IS Nurgle we're talking about...)

Don't have links to the pics handy, but I know there was a great Nurgle-infested tank floating around the interwebs. Might even have been a Baneblade. Can't quite recall at the moment, though. If you find that, you've got all the reference material you need. Then again, you could always just look down and imagine boils and tubes of puss, but I doubt you'd really want to... *shudder*

If it's all the same to you, I won't immagine that LOL. I think I know what your talking about now, the cannon for the plaguereaper, the BB variant. I like the idea, a couple giant vats of pus on his back.

Updates soon, I'm gonna add some detail and possibly start the cannon tonight. I've kinda been distracted by the new call of duty LOL. (deathonion for xboxlive if you want to play with me).

I am a loyalist of the Immortal Emperor, but I have always felt left out with the corroded looking armor. So starting with my Valkyrie, I have decided to get in on some of it, but with less of a "death and decay" look and more of a "been to fething busy killin' to patch the holes and slap on paint!" look.

What you have done hear has inspired me for when I eventually get my hands free to do a Titan. I think I would try to theme my to look like the guy has been salvaged from a long neglected battlefield and brought back into service, sort of "do with or do without" sort of idea.

I really like what you have done so far, even if it is in the name of false and slowed gods.

okily dokily. I'm back, with pics.
For the most part, all I did with the body is cut it up some more and add some muscle-y stuff poking out of the holes.

I decided to add a big ol' nurgle symbol, made of plasticard.

On the rear right part, I went for a clawed look, like something even bigger nearly got him.

As you can see, I've removed the back, (also the bottom, but thats so that I can get to it in order to model some stuff into it.) I'm trying to think of something that I can use for an exaust system, maybe some giant smokestacks, or maybe just some corroded looking vents.

I don't really know what to do with the back at this point, any suggestions?
C&C always welcome.

Yep. Buttlerthepug posted the pic I was talking about. I don't know what to suggest for the back, I just keep thinking about the puss cannon. I'm wondering if it would be cooler like on the Plaguereaper, where it seamlessly transitions from metal to flesh, as if a normal warhound weapon arm was covered by a nasty fleshy sock, or as a more fluid, organic, nurgly squirt-gun-of-death sort of tentacle/arm bursting out of the warhound's hull. I'm thinking the former would make more sense if you wanted to use the puss vats and the puss vats make more obvious what the weapon actually is. Whatever you decide, I want to see it!

[edit, since I forget to delete specific words once I've completely changed sentence structure]

I'm liking it so far, as I'm not a huge fan of Chaos to begin with and I like this, it's a good sign...

I imagine "Nurgle" to be a machine controlled by what would resemble a half-breed of a octopus and a warty slug where the tentacles would protrude the machine and wrap around the legs and weapons and the "head" of the creature is hidden inside...

I look forward to seeing your progress on this beast...

actually, nurgle is a god, but if you imagined how the titan is crewed, then that is a pretty good guess.
