Are the Chaos gods really evil or has the emperor some kind od grudge against them?

Khorne, THE BLOOD GOD, sound pretty evil but blood=nectar of life.

Slaanesh, and what point painting minis became evil?

Nurgle the one who accepts anyone regardless of they skin tone or their general health.

Tzeenech, ok politicians can be considered evil but atleast he doesn't support shotgundiplomacy.

They're all pretty evil except Nurgle and Tzeench, Nurgle is just misguided and Tzeench is a jerk,just like Eldrad.

Yea,they really want just more power,in dark millenium rulebook it was said that majority of souls that arrive into warp are pulled to the chaos gods and only the strongest souls can resist that pull.This is one more reason to worship the Emperor.

It`s another thread like this down the page, why don`t you re-open that? Anyways, the point of the chaos gods is evil. Not pure evil, but still evil (yes, the emperor are evil too)

Humans are not evil, we just like getting angry at everything in the universe so the warp is filled with more negative vibes then positive vibes.

The Gods are evil because they represent the Human emotions at their most extreme. Logic and Reason bore the Chaos Gods, simply madness.

So yes, I think they're evil.

However, they all represent a good facet of humans

Khorne: Honor, Courage, Strength

Tzeentch: Hope, Knowledge

Nurgle: New Life (In the form of Plaguebearers and nurglings, however)

Slaanesh: Enjoyment, fun

However, while the natural energy of the warp was harmonious, the souls of men were often troubled, obsessive, guilt ridden, or otherwise imperfect. These negative energies congregated together in the warp, drawn to each other by mutual attraction, until they formed troublesome spots of disharmony, rather like a canker on a living tree or a tumour in an animal. These disharmonious forces eventually became the Chaos Powers, psychic entities created from the fears, repressions and inadequacies of humans and other intelligent species.

So, Chaos Gods are evil created by the darker side of man. Humanity itself is neither inherently good or evil in the fluff. The Emperor is inherently good in the fluff because he is the embodiment of the harmonious powers of the warp. The Emperor's goal is to promote the good in man, thus diluting the influence of the Chaos powers which are his anti-thesis.

You know it. Even little Nurglings promote disharmony which strengthens the Chaotic powers.

The Chaos Powers are evil in every sense of the word. Yes, they are basically just mirror forms of collections of negativity, but it's more than that. They're the perverse forms of things otherwise "good"(courage, hope, happiness, etc.).

It should be noted that Khorne is really the only "contemporary" super-evil. One could argue that Tzeentch and Slaanesh, certainly Nurgle(whose followers "love" him as an uncle or grandfather) are more insidiously corrupting than all-out evil.

Lastly, there's the very word Chaos--if you take the concepts of "good" and "evil" and make them super-abstract, chaos is basically just "evil"(harmony or order would be "good").
