OK, in Horus Rising at one point (half way down page 333) there is a list of primarchs, and KHAN is listed as one. I always though it was KHARN, is this my mistake, theirs, or does dan abnett really like star trek? KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!

I doubt the name Khan is a clever reference to the infamous character played by Ricardo Montalban. It is actually a tribute to the Great Khan, Genghis Khan, and his use of lightning quick attacks. Which of course is what the White Scars emulate.

Khan is a title, and there happens to have been a historical Khan named Chagatai, also spelled Jagatai.
