I play with my friend.
We both have a very small budget, and he in particular has no vehicles.
So as a present, I wanted to build him a chaos defiler.

I was going to cut up some sprue and glue it together, covering it with some pieces of a PT 106 boat I had.

A special thanks to SilverMK2 for telling me the proportions.

For a while I couldn't find my hobby knife, which delayed me enough that I could write out a plan of action.

God, were you cutting with that machete?

Unfortunately, after 2 days of looking for my hobby knife, I had to concede that it was lost to the warp and the clock is ticking

I'm hoping to go to a hardware store soon and pickup another one, but until them I'm stuck using a titan Close combat weapon for cutting.

Good thing your creating a chaos vehicle - keep using that choppa, and your defiler should be coated in blood by the time its done!

Luckily I have some experience with knives and machetes, so hopefully I won't christen this thing in blood(I can save that for my friend, lol)

Anyways, update:

I added the four legs that it stands on (the first 2 being CC weapons)

Worked on it a bit more today.

Started bulking up the legs. I didn't attack the body to the legs yet, so it's a dry fit.

I still need to build the front two arms as well as the side weapons. I'm going to try magnetizing the weapons, so the arms can wait.

thanks. I'm basically only using the boat as textured plasticard anyway, since I have no plasticard readily availible and needed the rest of the boat for a different project.

Going to work on the front two claws when I get home. I still need some magnets for the arms.

On a completly separate note, what do you guys think of the Lascannon Sentinel stand in? I had parts from the battleforce left over and used them together with some tyranid warrior arms to build another model.

The comissar/psyker was built using tank commander parts and the plasma pistol I had from the battleforce. I think the PP tradeoff of power for instability adds to the evil charachter. I use the two guys to insta transform my guardsmen into traitor guard for if I play a team game with the chaos guy.

I can't see the pictures here at work, but I will take a look when I get home. Sounds interesting :O

I made the weapons separately on GW bases as the magnets I plan to acquire fit snugly under those.



hmm... I'm thinking how much I should bulk up the legs higher section.

Finishing up for today. I bulked out the legs some more. Worked on the back area, as it was too plain.\

The only things left to do is to attach the front arms and the weapons, but I need magnets for the weapons.

I like the look for the wip guns. nice job, cant see the last 3 photos though.:[
