I've lurked here for a while now and I recently took the plunge and set up an account. I don't know how active I'll be, but we'll see.

I only started playing within the last year, so I'm fairly new to the hobby. I enjoy playing plenty, but I'm also finding a lot of enjoyment out of the other aspects of the hobby, especially painting and conversions.

I run a Spehss Mehrens army for fairly regular Monday night games with some friends. I'm running a custom chapter that I call the Disciples of Thunder, which I play as a straight codex chapter that's heavy on Chaplains and scouts. My usual opponents include Tau, Orks, Chaos, and Guard with some occasional Necron and Nid action. We're probably much closer to the "fluffy and fun" end of the spectrum than the "win at all costs" end.

I look forward to meeting a bunch of you, asking various questions, and (when I work out a system for photographing my minis well enough) getting feedback and advice on my painting.

How is it they live in such harmony - the billions of stars - when most men can barely go a minute without declaring war in their minds about someone they know.
