So, thinking about fluff for my traitor guard army. They already only being about half done have unit's from all chaos god's.

The Company Command Sqaud has a champion of each god. as well as a "Abbadon" a undivided lord keeping them from fighting among themselves.

I imagine each to their own as far as the diffrent renegade's. But over all I kind of picture them like the Nazi SS combining their skills and outstanding technology with a fervent belief in their creed. Or in this case a warped one.

How would you imagine Traitor Guardsmen? Oh their also quite mismatched many have improvised gear and mutation's.

Some highly ambitious,ruthless and more smarter guardsmen.

All of them would be mentally ill in some way, ranging from lunacy to psychopathic to narcistic.

Depends on the god too, slaanesh could range from the standard slut to the sophisticated hedonist, tzeentch is mostly scholars, khorne is almost all insane brutes although there are some who focus on the "honour" aspect of him and nurgles followers i guess are just lazy although the microbiologist angle could include scholars.

I would say they are very much like any fanatical religious cults in real life. They don't see themselves as bad at all (obviously). Rather as fighting for the good of the human species but without much attention for the details like that they are killing innocent people. They would probably see themselves as doing a righeous job and look down or pity the humans in the imperium. They would be very loyal to the group and would die for it without a thought.

On the other hand they could be fighting for there own benefit, in which case they would be very dedicated and paranoid ( I would imagine there would be a lot of backstabbing group like this). They would each have their own goals and are likely to split from the group as soon as the work is done.

The Xavien's turned traitor because of their unstableness as they were a Inquisitorial exprement. Their agression was increaced. It also doesn't help their leader's were corrupt.

So far i've benn told it all work's out. And I'm all for the mad scientist aporach.
