How much damage could average power armor and terminator armor take.
I think that standard armor could take reasonable amount of damage,plasma weapons would penetrate it with several hits it think,melta weapons would rip trough it in one or two shots,chain weapons when wielded by ordinary human would have a hard time tearing trough it(from one of the Cain's novels),astartes,ork and eldar would have more chance tearing trough it with chain weapon,power weapons would pass trough it in one hit,bolter could penetrate it in some 5 or 7 shots,heavy weapons would destroy it easily,small auto weapons would have no effect except when used in barrages,as for battlecannon I don't know,force weapons would have same effect as power weapons,phase weapons would pass trough it easily,as for lasgun I don't know,autocannon would wreck it etc...

Terminator armor could take much more damage than standard armor,one space wolf was thought to be crushed by some cathedral,but he survived,another wold was stepped on by a titan(I think that terminator jumped in some hole and that the titan was of some small class),lascannon would have damaged it severely if not heavily,autocannon would have less damage than lascannon,terminator could survive multi-melta and plasma cannon,power weapons would do less damage,force weapons would do some serious damage,daemon weapons would have penetrated it easily,heavy bolter would wreck it,bolter would do some medium damage(firing squad could take terminator easily),autocannon would do some serious damage easily,terminator with storm shield could survive multiple hits from heavy weapons etc....

Please correct me and add other weapons if I have forgot them.

Pretty good list... You should add some of the more outlandish xeno weapons, though. How about railguns, pulse rifles, shuriken catapults, ect.
And remember, even if a suit of Power Armor is penetrated by a lascannon, stomped on by a million orks and buried under molten lava, there will still be something there to repair...and it WILL get repaired.

i think it was in Horus Rising a squad of Lunar Wolves in Terminator Armour walk through a snowstorm taking direct hits from small caliber artillery unharmed. in the fluff terminator Armour is way more powerful than in the game. anyone remember when the save was 3+ on 2d6

also a lot of the defensive power of both power Armour and terminator Armour is in its "life support" capabilities. i think its the 2nd HH book a guy in plane power Armour takes a power weapon hit to the leg so his suit clamps down hard to stop bleeding which makes him fall over. after the wound is clots it loosens up.

Exitus rifle? i think that should easily go through standard, how about Terminator?

I actually wanted to ask if they could survive being stepped over by a tank, then suddenly remembered then Mephiston buried under episode and IvanTih saying the Titan stomp, so, not a question anymore there

While that would be very effective, the image of a marines power armour making him fall to the ground is an amusing one.

Eldar splinter and shuriken weapons I'm not sure could penetrate the main armour itself, but by their nature they would skitter across the smooth curves and strike into the softer joints and hoses and other places that they could cause some serious damage. Lances are going to keep going as if it wasn't there since they can punch through landraider armour.

Standard power armor
Gauss weapons would destroy it or damage it severely in very short time,choppas would wielded by ordinary ork would have hard time damaging it,shootas too,big shootas would damage it severely as observed on Armagedon when big shoota hit shoulder pad which was severely damaged,power klaw would wreck it,rocket launcher wielded by Imperial Guardsmen and Space Marine would have reasonable damage,Cyclone missile launcher would wreck it with krak grenades,vortex missile would destroy it,plasma too,melta grenade would wreck it,Reaper laucher would heavily damage it as it was designed for attacking heavy infantry such as space marines,battlesuit railgun would pass through it as it was nothing(railgun travels at 275,000km/s),any artillery would wreck it,flamer would do nothing to it except for the user inside who would be killed by heat,sonic,no doubt that the armor would be damaged heavily.
Terminator power armor
Gauss weapons would have harder time penetrating it ,but no doubt that terminator would be killed in short time,missile weapons would have hard time damaging it,battlesuit railgun would pass through it as it was nothing,sonic weapons would damaged it severely if they hit at soft points,vortex would destroy it,ork weapons would have hard time penetrating it(expect for power klaw),small tyranids creatures would have done little damage,larger would do some serious damage,artillery would damage it severely,frag grenades would have little effect,krak would do some damage,melta grenade would do some serious damage.
That's all that I can think of at the moment.
