In your head, screwing with your thoughts...

And it f***ing rocks! If you've never played the original, it was a game with 3 different tracks made of squares; you put blocks representing music in the squares, and then a little punk band would play your song. It had 3 tracks: Drums, Lead Guitar, and Rhythm Guitar. The only limitation was how few music loops it had for each instrument, so every song anyone made on it started to sound the same after a while.

That was then. Now we have the Punk-O-Matic 2, new and improved. And goddamn, has it improved! Now there are 4 tracks, one for Drums, Guitar 1, Bass, and Guitar 2. There are still premade riff loops, but there are a f***load more of them, organized by key. And there are also about 15 different single-note riff pieces that you can put together to make your own riff, and they come in each key. There are a lot more drum pieces too, and there's a little notepad on the wall where you can save/load songs. The 'punk band' is completely customizable now too, although it will cost you in-game cash to buy all the different options. And that leads to the biggest change. It's not just music making software anymore, it's a full game. There's a song-playing interface with six buttons, set by default to keys
QWE
ASD
The interface itself looks a bit like a 6-shooter's chambers.

You can play every instrument, but drums are a lot more difficult. And I don't care how good you are at Guitar Hero/Rock Band, you'll still want to stick with Easy difficulty for a while. (or forever, in my case... lol)
You can play it on Newgrounds, but I recommend downloading it. It lags a lot less offline, which will make all the difference. Click on 'Games', then Punk-O-Matic 2 (Offline Version) There's also a database of songs made by users.
Here's my song, which is my 1st song on here, but it inexplicably turned out to be very good. I call it Acid Rain Thunderstorm. (to load song data, click the Load Data post-it note and copypaste...)

Hell yeah! I spent hours making stuff for the original.

Yeah, it was addictive. But it's ridiculous how improved this is. (no penguin eating special brownies though...)

Yup. And some of the skits are great, like when Bartholomew and Richie get into an insult contest. Here's a tip for blazing through career mode... Make a song that's about 30 or 40 seconds long, that's just the H note in the same key for the whole song. When you play it on insane (which is very possible because it's mostly just spamming one note all song long) you get more fans faster. More fans=more money. As soon as you have $500, rent the bar venue and play your Easy Cash song there, build up fans/cash until you have $5000, then immediately rent out the next venue. Get $25000, rent out the next venue, etc until you've played all the venues and are swimming in cash.
