We did 5000pts per side on an 8x4 board. Standard apoc but we added a little extra objective. Both sides had to elect an HQ to represent their leader. If the leader was killed he became an objective that could only be captured by infantry. The interesting part was the objective could move with the controlling infrantry unit, to represent them dragging the body. The game ended up in a tie with both teams controlling 2 objectives. Each side had one standard objective and their fallen leader. Some intesesting occurences to note would be a manticore killing oshavah and his bodyguard right before being destroyed by an eldar farseer. A psyker battle squad weakening the resolve of a dire avengers squad only to have them pass the leadership test (LD4). A callidus assassin being killed by broadside suits in close combat, the very same squad she moved 6 inches after deployment. Marbo roasting about 10 marines with a very precise democharge toss off a balcony. Ironhand straken and his ccs getting their buts handed to them by chaos terminators.

The images aren't a good way of understanding what happened turn to turn but are more just shots of everyones wicked awesome models and the overall game. Enjoy.

It along with the humvee counted as imperial centaurs. They're fast 5 man transports armed with heavy stubbers.

I used empire flagellants mixed with lasg pistols, aquilas from vehicle kits and other guardsmen bits.

The tau holo-table with epic figures is just freakin spectacular, as are many other models. The hydras are well done, that death company marine is awesome, simple a great set of pictures. There are just too many awesome models here to list, great job on the painting and modeling all around. Thanks for sharing this.

It was a tie. Both sides held 2 objectives in the end, the rest were contested.


My mvps were my manticore and marbo. My manticore managed to kill oshava and his bodyguard right before being destroyed by a farseer. Marbo showed up on a balcony over about 30 marines and blew up 1/3 of them.

Where did you get the giant space marine?

about 10 years ago GW released a series of limited edition giant marines, from different chapters. There would've been say, 1000 maybe of that BA? Maybe.. SWEET MODELS DUDE! Awesome report as well!

I used a wide lens with a decent macro capability, bounced the flash off the ceiling, shot it all in raw format and edited every picture.

What was that conversion on that black ig tank... was that made from a bastion

great attention to detail on all of your armies guys!!!! Freaking sweet. I really liked the valkaries! Especially the pic of the blue valk looking into the building, I had a flashback of the matrix. Very cool.
