Welcome to dak dakยก It is not just GW stores that carry GW stuff alot of hobby stores carry GW stuff. Look up hobby stores on the internet in your general area. Where there is GW stuff there are usually players of the game.

There is one store close to me but they are not very knowledgeable about 40k they really cant give me any news or advice. I really haven't had time yet to see if there is a good gaming group there yet, hopefully I will soon.

Welcome to dakka.
Once upon a time the closest I could come to a games store was the shop front for a mail order warehouse 2000km away.
And WD was the only place we got news (pre-internet era).
Life is so much easier now.
