Nice to see all the Epic players!
I'm new to Dakka Dakka (a friend here encouraged me to join). I'm a long-time Epic player, from the mid 1990s on (the same friend got me hooked).
I haven't had much chance to play (about 5 times in the last 15 years!) but I got out all my old figs and started painting again, hoping to be able to teach
the game to someone around my town (as far as I can tell, no one plays Epic around here anymore).

I've got armies for (in the 2,000-10,000 point range): Space Marines, Eldar, Orks, Squats, Chaos, and Tyranids as well as about 30 titans, as well as all the
original Epic rules, plus the Epic 40k, Epic:Armageddon, NetEpic5.2 and the Heresy rules set.

Currently, I'm taking the parts/units I like best from Epic:Armageddon and NetEpic5.2 and combining them with the Heresy rules to create
a blasphemous home-brew rules set. I've got all rules distilled down into a few cheat sheets and all the units listed with their stats. Now, I just have to figure
out the points for the converted units and do up the army lists and find someone to do a lot of playtesting!

When you think you've got it all sorted out you should post your rules (or an example of them) to the Forum so we can all see them (and rip them to shreds).

There are both players scattered around and an online tool for playing Epic, though its a poor second to actually having some models!

Well, if it helps, there are going to be 3 new players in the Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey area in a month or so.

Its nice to some new players interested in Epic.

Hell yeah, Apocalypse 40k is great but I always want more and as I don't have £1000 going spare I can never afford the Epic Scale Conflicts i want too. Epic 40K, however is perfect! You can have enormous battles and then expand them to be truly apocolyptic. I wish it hadn't been abandoned, I think another Edition for Epic would be awesome.

I got 10,000 pts in chaos in storage, all my Epic players now play War Machine...:(

Only REMF;s and cheese players play Warmachine. Fact. I suspect It is a flash in the pan, I wonder if it will still be going strong in 15 years time?
