I think this is hilarious. Why? Because back when I used to play Mechwarrior multiplayer with my friends, I figured out a way to set up the control options so that I could play the game with a joystick and the mouse. I barely had to touch the keyboard. So, are any Dakkaites the not-so-proud owners of this electronic albatross?

I used to. 'Twas a fun game, if only for the insanity of the massive controller.

"Your ass will be on fire. Also, there's a button for that."
That made me chuckle.
I had a friend that was nuts about this game. I played around with the controller once, and I thought it was pretty cool. I think it had some untapped potential, however. Limiting it's use to one game was a mistake. Flight sims, tank sims, space combat, all could have been terrific fun to play with the controller. Sort of like the Rockband/Guitar Hero peripherals. These days, the plastic instruments are largely interchangeable.

I thought it was fun and different to use. It was also really damn hard to get used to, but that was kind of the challenge.

Even though Xbox live is getting canned for original Xbox games I want to get this game. I know where I can pick it up for about $130 but I don't have anywhere to set that giant contoller. I can't justify buying a game that expensive not to play it.

I wanted it(and the sequel), but could never justify the cost.
