Just a message to say hi to everyone, I'm new to Dakka, hoping to have some interesting chats about what is an amazing universe. Been away from 40K for over ten years so got some catching up to do. Currently building and painting a Black Templars army, my first ever attempt at painting, only ever gamed as a teen. Slow process but great seeing my skills improve as I go. Hope to post pics when when I've got a more substantial force. Currently reading the third Gaunts Ghosts Omnibus and loving it and would welcome views about what are the better 40K novels to read. Have read Eisenhorn and Horus Rising and loved them and the first Space Wolf Omnibus which I thought was fairly good.

Trust my first post is in order, look forward to swapping views.

But seriously, take a few pictures of your painting and stick them into a PLog. There are a lot of great artists here who can help your with C&C on your work. You can improve a lot no matter what kind of skill you have with their help.

Welcome. I too was on a 10 year hiatus early last year and it's been great road back into a hobby I loved as teen. The 40k Universe has expanded. Since you read “Horus Rising” you should read the follow-up “False Gods” and ‘Galaxy in Flames,” both are excellent reads. Have fun posting on Dakka.
