I'm currently doing some nose art on my Vendetta/Valkyrie's and I was informed by someone at my LGS that if the "artwork" is of the mature nature my models can be disqualified and me not be allowed to play in Tournaments? ie. 'Ard Boys and Indy GT's.

As usual, check with tournament organizers before attending any events with your minis.
Send them pics then they will decide if they are suitable or not.

What the hell kind of artwork are they thinking of?
I mean the military has been painting women on planes since time immemorial, and they will quite happily put those in history books, I'm quite sure as long as there isn't any full-frontal or something that belongs on a certain imageboard whose name we should not mention there shouldn't be any complaints.
Your best bet would be to contact the TOs and query them, failing that if someone does take offence may I suggest covering the artwork temporarily (bit of tissue/cloth) for the duration of being in his or her presence
