Was looking round the internet the other day when I found some cool templates with a quick
guide to scratch-building a Warhound Titan.
Me and a friend from my local GW store both liked the idea so i decided to begin building a Paper
Mock-up to get an overall idea of the scale and the Model itself.
I will hopefully build it later out of Plasticard and include some detail as the template is very flat.
My friend said if he likes the Plasticard result that he would to commission me to build one.

Here are some WIP shots of the Paper Mock-up. So far I built the legs today.

And of the Scale

Sorry in advance for the poor quality photos, it was late.

Looks good so far. Though is it me or are the leg plates a little small?

Here's a photo of that completed model, if it helps.. You'll see that plasticard is completely un-necessary. Bear in mind that my army is themed "The Nameless" and I actually scratch off most symbols on my units except the Aquilla, so no decoration is the "theme" of my army. Their supposed story is that they are a completely intact legion that has been spewed forth from the eye of terror with almost no memory at all of who they are, or what their purpose is. They have a vague impression that the Emperor of Mankind is their Lord and Master, but there is also some dissent within the ranks about even that notion. I'm letting my wins and losses map out who and what they are or will become. I.E. I figure that if I lose a lot to Chaos, then I'll slowly begin weathering and corrupting them, etc. Wow, I just got off on a tangent. Anyway, here's a photo of that completed model, entirely in cardstock and like 1$ of fittings from Lowes:

EDIT: Even the "pistons" are paper, as in sucker sticks that you can buy from Michaels in the candy making section.

Thats a cool Scratch build model. Though personally I feel it needs more detail. Great work though.

Under the couch

Looks like a promising start.

As this will obviously be an ongoing project, I'm moving it over to the Blogs section.
