Hey, I'm sorry if this turns out to be totally common knowledge, b-b-but. I got this catalog in the mail yesterday from a company I had never heard of, Micro-Mark. I riffled through it at work to discover they have an unbelievable amount of stuff useful to a miniature wargamer - tons of needle files, pin vices, tiny vises and grippers, all sorts of neat stuff. I did put in an order (my first order, obviously), but I have never ordered from them before so can't speak to their customer service/delivery times/anything like that - but they have a vast amount of cool stuff that is worth checking out. It looks like the only thing they have for paint is Floquil, though. Worth a gander.

I hadn't heard of it either, but I'm adding a bunch of items for a nice buy. Thanks for pointing them out.

There's a ton of stuff that I never knew existed, but simply had to have! Some day.

Cannot BELIEVE there are hobbyists that haven't heard of MicroMark.

Amazing selection of tools and such, but they aren't cheap. You can get some good deals on selected items if you keep an eye out for their sales.

Wow, Floquil, huh? That was the first acryllic paint that I bought for painting my classic Ral Partha miniatures back in the day. They had a great shade of yellow, IIRC. Thanks for the heads up.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

For cutting foam, Hotwirefoamfactory has some awesome stuff. I've used and sold their stuff for years.

Micromark is great...I've always enjoyed reading their adds in Model Railroader. However, for some reason I've never gotten around to buying their stuff. I'll have to take another look...

I thought this was common knowledge. I used to work less than a mile away from the factory store (they since closed the retail store, you can order online only). I buy their 2 part epoxy regularly, easiest one to use and the results are perfect (quick way to create "bitz" for projects). Also got my hobby tools (jewellers saw and super small hand dremel bits). Miss the store, the guys there knew their stuff and had tons of hobby tips.

I buy occasionally from them, and they do have some stuff that no one else does, but be careful, a lot of the products can be had elsewhere for much cheaper.

I've ordered from MicroMark for years. There delivery time is excellent and while SOME tools can be ordered cheaper I always stick with MM. I order the Testors plastic glue from them and I've also orded blue plastic fine line tape from 3M as well.

I'd like to point out that after I put in an order, they shipped it around 4 hours later. So that, so far, seems great.

Also, I agree that I have seen things a little cheaper in different places, like Tower Hobbies or Hobbylinc - but the saves are eliminated when you realize neither place has everything you want, and you're facing multiple shipping charges. This seems to be a good place to eliminate that.
