Before we start, this has no prize and no fee. Its completely for fun.
Also note that taking overpowered units as your special unit and making them more... won't help you. Don't understand? Keep reading.
In the dark of the night I had an idea. And the idea was simple.
What would happen if two people sat down with their armies and each of them took a unit. What would happen if they modified these units then rolled them out in a fluff acceptable list?
You might get CC Tau, was one thought... But you also might get someone taking advantage. So I set down some rules:
1 custom unit - the rest FOC standard.
All upgrades must have a precedent and must be taken at the highest existing cost (Eavy armor for +10pts for example)
Lists must be shown prior to game agreement and both sides must be on equal footing (ie Mech heavy lists must battle someone with at least marginal mech killing abilities).
Points size: Whatever you agree with your playing partner.
How to enter: Post here that you're playing a match with someone. When you're both finished playing, post again with the custom units you played with and with a scorecard.
Scorecard must include: Effectiveness of the unit (voted by the owner, score out of 10), Sportsmanship (out of 10 by the oponent), Deathstar rating (out of 5, 0.5 divisions allowed, by oponent where Mephiston is a 5 and a single grot is a 1. Measures how likely the unit is to destroy a whole team without backup.)
Winners will be decided based upon average scores across all their games - a single game is just as elligiable as 5 games. But 5 games should have a higher average.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Example - MANZ. add a claw for max price - becomes 25 points extra, add a waargh banner - 15 points to the unit. Add a painboy for 30 points, then cybork em.
What you get is dual wielding PK MANZ with WS 5, a 5+ invul and FNP.
As I said though, the pimping out has got to have precendence - so no auras of win or superpowered heroes.
