Hi All,

Well first of all this is just one mini with a base i'm working on for a first time little project, as i never usually tinker with the base other than putting grass on them.

The first photo's are of the terminator chaplian with a coat of black and the base has just a few things on it at the moment, will most likly put some more junk on the ground when i find my bits box

also take no notice of the barrel's colour was part of my old painting skills

The base is a foam which i have pva some paper towel to it for a bit more of a rough surface for a muddy look hopfully which is what i did yesterday.

This morning/lunch i got a bit of painting done on the base and model still looking at getting another wash over the base to darken the crease's so here are some of the update pics from what i did this morning/lunch.

Photo of the bit i am useing so far.

This pic is just a closeup of the base which so far is needing plenty of work

just another closeup of the arms this time.

So far the paints/wash i have used on the base has been snakebite leather and devlan mud wash.
For the mini so far just black coat, UM blue, Shining gold and dheneb stone.

Hope to get a little bit more paint work done before the end of today, but think this might take me a fair bit to perfect my skills on the painting front but will keep posting my updates on how it is going.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Well as i said earlier i was gunna tinker around and do a bit more on it. as for the mini i didn't do anymore paint work but did manage to have a good look in my junk box for some little bits and bobs to use on the base, so i set to it to do as much as i could before i continue with my apothocary and tech marine again.

Not 100% finished yet but coming close to it i think bit more rust work to do and a couple of highlights but so far so good

first pic is a shot of the whole base.

next is a shot of the metal mesh and wire mesh needs another coat of rust brown ink i think.

next is the half sunken barrel which i think needs some more light on the camera shot to see it clear but the rust effect on it has gone better then i expected.

next image is of the tank block metal thingy which has come out again better then i expected.

last pic is of the ork head impaled by a metal spike which might want more done to it to dull the ear piercing a bit.

as you can see still some work to be done on the base but coming along nice, next update should be soon next 3 days or so
