Hopefully this will be as resoundingly easy to fix as my last suggestion...

It would be nice if in the image tagging box the string of displayed characters shown was longer, I'm sure I could use old tags with new images (at least for the most part) save that display box only shows a couple, not the 5 or so I usually end up with in a string (i.e. it shows only... "40k, space marines, ma".... and I have no idea what comes next... rather than the whole string of... 40k, space marines, mantis warriors, dreadnought, venerable) which I could use repeatedly. It also might encourage folks to tag more if it was easier to pick the right set from the already existing drop down rather than having to re-type the whole string each time.

Conversely if the drop down could be limited to the first 3 comma delimited items (not sure this is possible), you could easily select the base that you needed & then only fill in the specifics afterwards.

Not a big deal... just an idea.

In your head, screwing with your thoughts...

I don't know if this would work for you, but another solution would be to copy the whole string of tags and then paste it back in when necessary. I'm assuming you're talking about putting images in the gallery?

Yes, sorry... that's what I'm referring to.

I'm not exactly certain I know what you're describing...

Ok, so when you type in all the tags you want, select them all, press ctrl+c to copy them, and then on the next image you tag, press ctrl+v to paste the tags. You know, copy/paste.

Oh, yeah.... that I get (and do). What I'm talking about is later, when I add something new.... there's a drop down on the tags field & it would be handy if the view of the drop downs were bigger so I could just select the tag set I want each time rather than having to type the whole thing out again.

Most of the time, I'm not uploading a bunch of identically tagged photos at once, on one here, two there. So cutting and pasting the tags in a single upload doesn't do me much good. Typing a new string of tags isn't the end of the world mind you, but since the mechanism (the drop down) is already in the system... I'm just saying it would much more of a useful tool if the drop down field was longer so you could see the full text strings (or at least more of them).

Ah then I misinterpreted your original problem... You know what, to avoid confusion you could try using the printscreen button to screencap exactly what you're talking about, and then add that to your post. This would help illustrate what you're talking about. (If the 'suits' don't have to think about what you mean then they have more time to think about changing it. )

There are too many tags to make that a feasible option really. I have thought about it in the past, but the results would not be too good for the effort required.

Hmmmm.... thanks MasterDRD... I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world & I'm sure that would help clarify my questions.

@lego: Guess I don't quite understand, but as MDRD suggests, might be poor communication on my part. The tagger already picks up your previous tags in it's drop down, all I'm wondering is if the length of text displayed in that drop down can be increased so I can see more of the already stored tags.

Sorry, the print screen thing does nothing for me...

Git,

Open up Microsoft Paint under your accessories. Hit print screen. Then click paste on MS Paint. This will put the image into MS paint so you can save it as a picture file.
