He won the roll and let me go first.
9 o'clock - dread, rifle, pred
8 o'clock speeder rhino
7 o'clock dread razor typhoons
6 o'clock Speeder
He lines his zone with kans and dreads, boys behind, all under
KFF. Didn't see that one coming
Turn one
Movement: Very little. I knew that we were pretty close, and move very little. In fact, the pred could've been immobilized from the start and not made a difference on this game. speeders scoot a little, dreads shuffle around and we shoot.
Shooting: I had guessed correctly; I was almost completely in range. I think One rhino
MM failed, but everything else was clean. Didn't manage much though, the dice were hardly with me. I drop one kan and a dred.
His turn. Moves, starts to show some split in his force around the central forest, breaking off a Kan and boy unit to push south,
kff, mob and kan go through, and the rest go around. He runs his dreds and some boys, lets loose a few rokkits. They stun a speeder.
T2
Move: same as before, just a few shuffles here and there.
Shooting: Completely useless. the few that hit ( i mean one or two) failed to pen, and the one that got through
KFF stunned a kan, which it squadded off. By the third or fourth '1' to hit with
MM, i started pilling the 'bad dice' off in my casualty pile.

Mistake! I left my speeder in range of his kans. they get the charge off, but only shake and remove
MM. Rokkits immobilize and weapon destroy a rhino.
T3
The south is threatened by a mob and 2 kans. to the north is twice than and a dred. things aren't looking good. I turbo the speeder and disembark the razor's melta unit. both dreads move up to face the kans. One melta, one
MM, one LAs and 2
plas barely kill one kan. one remains to eat my tacticals... The north fairs the same, one kan in omnom range.My other speeder jumps into the forst to block his center Kans.
MM pings off
KFF, 2
HF hits roll 3's to pen, but do kill one ork. Rifle man scores 3 hits on the deff dred, no damage. good bye rhino! Charge a kan with a dread, score a weapon destroyed, and fluff the rest of my attacks until the end of the game.
His T3
Charges a rhino with the deff dred, explodes, killing one marine, leaving the rest unpinned. The kan charges into the melta squad, kills 2, marines hold. Mob with
KFF sweeps past my locked up dread and charges my Rifleman. I was able to put 2 stomps on the
KFF, and his Claw bounced off me. He takes the speeder bait with his kans. They could've side-stepped and eaten my rhino, leaving the speeder for the mob, instead he bought me a turn.
T4
The exposed marines stand their ground and blast the dred. immo. Quite dramatic. The south dread charges into the Kan in my tacs. Score a immo, allowing the marines krap grenades to score a pen for a wreck. Consolidate back to the razors. the pred and other rhino do nothing to the center kans, at full strength. My southern speeder pops around a ruin and drops a flamer on the mob creeping up, dropping 3, and the typhoons pick up 10-11. Not a bad round of shooting. His claw manages to put down my rifle, and they score a 6" consolidate. they're breathing down my tacticals neck.
His T4
He calls a waaagh, letting the few boys in the south charge into my razor and my melta squad. he decides to drop a scorcha on my marines, and i choose to fail morale, hoping to fall back enough to regroup and melt face. he charges my other rhino with his Kans, exploding and pinning the boys. The south mob explode the razor and kill the squad down to the sarge who holds.
T5
The Kan's charge put them within 6" of the retreating tacs so I knew some fear and fell back again, dreadfully close to the edge. My libby charges in with might and cleans house on the orks. The
pk picks up the sarge, then gets swept. Spectacular shooting from typhoons dread and pred pick up 2 of the three remaining kans and immo the last. 6
HB shots glancing 3 times was dirty dirty.

he charges into my remaining tacticals who break and run. =\ playing for a minor loss now with no more scoring units and his own bubblewraped against my last speeder. he'd have a major win if we failed to roll another turn.
T6 ( we did)
we had to speed play, time was critical. between the lib and the dread, they managed to wipe them, leaving the score 1-0.
it was an interesting match. Lootas would've given me a huge headache; glad he didn't take any. The sheer number of misses from the
MM's was pretty frustrating. I didn't want to crutch it up, nut dropping the lib and a typhoon with free points up for vulkan. I was really wishing for him, especially with only one
MM per unit. Here's my next list

If I could do it again, I'd have pushed east with my south group and kept a running battle against those southern kans. i think that that force could've take the 40 boys between me and the objective and at least forced a draw that way.
