I have these old wds and I'm wondering why in there isn't Dok Buchas konvershun klinik in the newer wds. Can I find him in the web or do I have to hunt down old wds?

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Well they stopped the comedy kind of. I found the ork comedy to be kind of stupid.

Click this link and exit out of it.

I liked when the Black Goblin took over WD, made it way better lol.

Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes...

It would be nice if they still had things like that in WD. It would actually make WD interesting again. I've barely had any use for it for awhile. Spearhead flopped, there's rarely anything for Apocalypse and certainly nothing new that's interesting.

I can get a decent "you should buy this" pitch from the staff at my local store if I want one.

The IoB one recently was so bad. Most of it is on the site.

I think it would be a fair improvement to cut down on the ads a little to make more room for the hobby aspects that the old ones used to have. I'd say take down The Marvelous And Nostalgic Adventures of Jervis Johnson, but they'll probably never do that.

I've read through one of the old ones I have maybe 10-20 times (some decent anti-Nid tactics and terrain ideas), these new ones I'll be lucky to read through entirely once.

The only good thing is some of the Painting Tutorials. I think Non-Mettalic Metal (Blending ) is alright sometimes but not needed especially when it comes to metal as the lighting on models is more dynamic than static like a painting. It's the painting faces and such that give me ideas, while I don't really follow the steps at all they get me thinking about what techniques work for what effect.

HERESY! ORKS ARE ALWAYS FUNNY!

I had Butcha in '06, but as I only own 3 WD, I have little opinion.

Being all cynical, it's probably because they want WD to sell models rather than show off conversions.

In reality, I imagine that whoever's job it was to find the conversions either kept on forgetting to do it, other things in the mag needed the space, or they ran out of things to add to the mag when it came to the time for print

I read the old one introducing Inquisitor as a game about 60 times lol. Best Battle Rep. ever.

I remember them, ah the days when white dwarf was actually good. They had good battle reports and chapter approved, terrian, cool extra missions for BFM and other cool things. The only thing WD is good for now is toliet paper and its proberly pretty bad at that too , all the "worthwhile" things in it go online anyway. The last one I bought was spearhead just for the rules.

And it doesn't take too much common sense to figure out that encouraging conversions spur increased model sales...

Oh wait GW. My bad...

Agreed. The painting articles are perhaps better and easier to follow than they have ever been. But that's about it, can't say the same for anything else.
