So lately I've been getting fairly addicted to TF2 after a long absence. The newest updates seem to have balanced issues that I'd had with the game before as well as adding fun new features.
Been playing since 08 (I remember halloween of 08 I played my first zombie fortress game)
I mainly stick to ego servers since I know they let me use skins. If you know any servers near texas that allow skins, let me know. Also if anyone's willing to trade Bill's Hat......

Gah, eGo servers are terrible.
I played with them every day for 3 months, then I run into a guy on their servers, without eGo tags, who is clearly aimbotting (every shot was a headshot, even if I watched it hit my toe) and yet I get yelled at for calling him out for it.....
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
The Black Box (useless fact: Mines named the Black Betty) only has 3 rockets in its clip, but you gain 15 health per target hit. Hit one guy, gain 15 health. Hit three, gain 45. Shoot it into a major chokepoint, and gain at min 75 health. Its really nice for random play, but that one rocket cripples it for anything else

If you're playing on the PS3 or 360 you're doing it wrong. I'm not usually a PC elitist, but the PC version is miles above and beyond the consoles. Huge playerbase, frequent updates, user made content, and all kinds of other great things that PC gaming can bring.
I play a bit, mostly with my girlfriend or a buddy or two. I used to play more though.
Anyone remember the days the "Force-A-Nature" came out? Now those were tough days to not be a scoot
My brother and I both play. He, so far, is quite the achievement creep and will get quite angry when something gets in his way of filling one. Also he got "Old Snaggletooth", On random drop

I thought that pissing off the sniper players was the entire purpose behind that map.

Meh, 2fort might as well be a deathmatch map. The only reason the intel gets capped at all is just to switch maps.
I guess that's why I play it so much
Kabal of the Void Dominator - now with more purple!

I never played on the payload ones (which one are you referring to?)
But certainly Stocks 2 is. That's because of the donator system. Other servers (There are twenty or so Lotus servers) have much less of a problem.

You are mocking me with all of your talk of TF2.
I played it at my cousin's house, and I'm getting it on Black Friday. Any tips for a beginner?

Find a playstyle that you enjoy and learn that class inside and out. But be sure to learn at least the basics of the other classes.
There's lots of classes and therefor lots of playstyles available for you, and the alternative weapons offer even more playstyles. This makes the game fun, but also means that occasionally, you might need to switch to medic so that you can ubercharge (a burst of invulnerability to you and one friendly target within range) a defended point. Or you might need to switch to Soldier or Demoman to bombard a sentrygun from outside of its operational range. Or play a pyro and hunt down spies that are causing trouble behind the lines.
