...There is a catch, however!

A wargaming & miniature painting channel on YouTube - AGProductionsInc - will give away 50 $10 gift certificates for their products if they reach 4500 subsribers by the end of 2010. If they get 5000 subscribers, they'll give away 100 $10 gift certificates instead! (To 50 and 100 different subscribers, respectively.) They're currently just shy of 3300, and I'd love to see them get there.

Personally, I think that AGProductions is a very hard working channel on the YouTube wargaming front, and although perhaps on a different league to the likes of miniwargaming, awesomepaintjob and BeastsOfWar, they definatly deserve more subscribers. Chris and the team are dedicated to puting out all kinds of videos and "Let's Paint" DVD sets on a regular basis. I can't even begin to imagine where my painting skills would be now if I'd known about their tutorials when I'd started out! This doesn't mean that he only aims at beginners - far from it, in fact. There's something for everyone of all levels to learn.

Anyway, enough of my jibba-jabba. All I'm asking of you is to subscribe to AGProductionsInc.

Thanks - Cosmic.

Ah, I use to watch his youtube videos alot. Good guy. That's really cool of him to give away gift cards, also with what he already shows us on his channel. Thanks for the post.

*bump*

No probs Ram

The channel has got ten more subscribers since the last time I checked, so keep it up people! They also do allot for manufacturers apart from GW, probably more than any other wargaming channel on YouTube; the stuff that he finds is amazing.

They sure do... and lots of other hobby goodness too. The reviews are great, totally unbiased and fair to what's being criticised. Chris has a long history as a miniature painter, and plenty of knowledge to go with it! He was once a professional painter for Reaper's Miniature line, and therefore knows how to paint display quality models. His painting style is somewhat traditional - he uses lots of layering, drybrushing, feathering, etc, and is certainly the kind of person you'd want to learn from if you aren't looking to aribrush. (Check out awesomepaintjob and girlpainting for that!)

They put out motivational, sometimes religious videos from time-to-time, but it's their channel and it doesn't bother me at all. Their "Let's Paint" DVD's are availiable to purchase online by email, but when I asked if they'd do downloads he said that it was something they were working on. Things to check on the channel:

- How to Paint a Blood Angel ...One of their first videos.

- Let's Paint Tyranids ...A freebie that they put out!

- Cool Mini or Not? Painting Secrets with Natalya ...This one's really funny! Chris is slightly out of charecter here.

- Wood Elves Project ...Recently re-launched. Chris wants to get it done before the end of 2010.

...and lots more.

What's to remember is that, although he can paint miniatures, he can actually communicate on what he's doing. Teaching someone what you know is never as easy as learning it. See the Natalya video above and you'll get what I mean!

Thanks Dakka - Cosmic.
