Three Color Minimum

Hey there. Well, 16 days ago I set out to paint all the remaining models in my Mechdar list for the tourney in 2 days. I finished early!! Don't know how it happened but there it is. I usually paint very slowly but this time over-looking some details and keeping things simple helped me finish 3 Fire Prisms, 5 Fire Dragons, 2 Wave Serpents, and 3 Vipers in 16 days. Not the best conditions for pictures but it gets dark early lately. Enjoy.

You did that in 16 DAYS?!??

Jeez, at the rate I paint, I'd have just finished assembling the Wave Serpent and gluing everyone's base on!

And they look very, very spiffy. Congrats!!

Bernard, float over here so I can punch you.

Just the stuff listed actually Gearhead. I had the Dire Avengers, one squad of Dragons, Seer and 2 Serpents already painted heading in. I know what you mean about being slow. I usually loaf around, take 8 hours on a trooper, and paint once a week. Don't know what came over me.

Now I don't feel bad about moving to IG today. More painting!

Less than 16 days? Awesome! I really like the colours. It looks like you've thought about how you'd want them to be like and just done them. The thing for me is that, although you've painted them quickly, they've got a really high tabletop standard. It's still nice to see some old skool fire prisms too. Thanks for sharing!

Impressive work for 16 days. Well done! Though I find the abundance of yellow gems a little hard on the eyes.

Very nice and very clean. Did you custom build the gemstones on the DA heads? I don't recall them having it. Either way, nice touch.

All in all, a very nice army. You should post up a battle report for the tourney you'll be attending.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.
