This happened to my opponent over the weekend. Remained perfectly balanced until we re-rolled it. (I know it's only one die, but Crazy Die Photo sounds wrong). Just wanted to share this.

Most curious. Probably the textured surface.
We always roll in a box. Anything that doesn't land flat in the box is rerolled.

I've seen that happen before too. I think GW needs to add a rule that when that happens you win.

ALL game companies should have that rule.
I have also seen it done with a D8. That was weird.

Would be tempting to slap the table to straighten it out, if it had a side facing up that you'd like
Never seen it happen in-person, very cool photo! I'm surprised it could stay balanced while you pulled out the camera and everything (agree that it's the textured surface causing it most likely).

I think casino dice have sharp corners to stop this kind of thing?
Apparently there are flaws in dice with round corners and indentations as dots. I guess the side with "6" would be the lightest and you would think, as averages go, would be the side that would face upwards the most. Ha, im sure many a Dakka would disagree on that one!

Cocked dice are nothing new, but it's always surprising to see one on a somewhat textured, but otherwise entirely flat, surface. The first pic with the die resting on edge is more surprising to me than the one one resting on the very rounded corner (not to belittle your contribution, of course, Aduro ). All of my hypothetical, way too ambitious table plans are filled with surfaces that are less than conducive to rolling dice, so I made a dice tower/impassible terrain building to circumvent the issue. Randomization and containment, all in a pretty package (fine, it's not that pretty... but at least it's designed to fit seamlessly into the landscape!).
