Looks good man, only suggestion that I can possibly give is that you need to work on those bases. Bases can make or break a model. Keep up the good work.

looking good so far,id suggest drilling out the barrels and maybe a wash over the skin but they are really just minor points.the basing can wait,i try to base twenty or so minis at once.keep up the good work.

They have a green wash over them but i was thinkin black wash might work. I still have like 20 guys to paint, so i will probably do the basses all at once

Love the Landspeeder.
Please clean up mold lines! And do bases! The black wash will help, but don't go overboard with it - just in recesses.
Having said that, I bet it looks awesome on the table.

Hello mate,
lovely Orks, I like the bright skin against the darker clothes and weapons, the contrast works realy well, also the looted landspeeder is a great to see after so many rhinos and russes!
For removing mold lines buy yourself a set of needle files, GW sell these but they are pricey so have a look for them at any hobby store. You will normaly get a set of three.
1 round one for curved areas such as arms and legs (I tend to use this one the most).
2 Flat one for larger straight areas such as weapons and armour plates.
3 Triangular one, I tend to use this the least but it is very good for getting into corner areas.
To remove the lines start before priming the model. With larger more complex miniatures, start before assembly as all the bits will be easier to reach. Draw the blade of the file gentle back and forth across the line. This will be faster with plastic than with pewter. Every now and again blow the dust from the model and see how your getting on. Stubborn lines can also be removed by scraping the line off with a sharp hobby knife, although this is at the risk of your fingers should you slip!
When basing your models it's up to you when you do this, I tend to do it before priming as I am a bit messy but most people do it afterwards.
I use PVA glue and sand (much cheaper to get this from a diy/hardware shop). Rather than wreck a brush I dip a cocktail stick in the glue and use this to move the glue around the base, this is much more accurate and clean. I then dip the miniature in the sand, shake off any excess and leave it to dry for a couple of hours before painting.
Hope this helps mate

You're off to a great start, keep up the work here. As others have mentioned cleaning up the mold lines and basing the models will really make them stand out. My advice for the painting done here would be to apply some simple highlights to make the models pop with a bit more detail. Since you're already using a fairly bright color for the skin, I'd suggest mixing some white in with whatever it is you're using to lighten the color. then apply in thin coats on high points of the skin like the muscular features. After highlights are applied throw a green wash on there. It might be the lighting, but you did mention that you're using a green wash, and it relaly shows in your warboss picture. Throw some highlights on the skin and cloth features and you'll have some greater looking models.

Whoa, your color scheme is the same as mine, but my pants are brown and the shirts are the tan color. I think they go together nicely. I also paint my Ork skin nice and bright, and everything else dark and rusted and abused. Nice looking stuff so far Oh yea, drill out the barrels when you get a chance, itll make everything look so much nicer. If you dont have a small enough drill bit, you can use a finishing nail to get the same results.

Quick note on mold lines. It is generally a very tedious procedure and I hate doing it, but if you want your models to look good and you seem to be doing a good job so far, getting rid of the mold lines just makes them look that much better . Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing how you progress as you're off to a good start here.
