when does the actual full game come out? cause i didn't get into the beta

Open beta has started. I'm fighting the urge to get an elite T-46 with maxed crew and go earn dozens of Top Gun medals killing noobs.

You should still be able to get into beta. I think release is still 2-3 months away. I think they are planning on getting Clan wars up and running before release, so they'll need some test time with it.

Rules of World of Tanks;

1) Gold tanks are never worth it.
2) Gold tanks are NEVER worth it.
3) Gold tanks aren't worth it.

Follow those three rules and you should do fine.

I was using a Grille with an upgraded cannon and one shotted a Valentine while I had a direct sight at him. That means I one shotted a gold tank even though I hit him in the front armor.

Yes, he was at 100% health as well.

What I want to know is when the French tanks come out.

I just learned that there is going to be a hardwipe when the game comes out of beta. That sucks something fierce.

Been playing this on and off since the closed beta, very fun.

Protip: keep moving

Also you can leave the battle when you are destroyed and play another tank and will still get credits and xp, play more wait less!

Although its okay to use the space bar to do a sudden stop so you can fire more accurately, just make sure you hit the gas right after.

Another tip is to learn what your tank is good at. Light tanks are usually used as spotters for the SPGs and TDs while mediums and heavies work on the frontline.

Also remember that even if you don't use a SPG they are incredibly useful, a SPG gives you an extra hit on a target, an extra hit that can hit the rear of a tank when you can only hit the front.

So here's a summary;

1) Move like hell.
2) Gold tanks are never worth it.
3) Utilize your strengths.
4) Protect your SPGs, especially if they're good.
5) Stock tanks are never good, research the upgrades.

Um...right. So because you were able to knock out a Valentine with an SPG (which don't usually rely on penetration to inflict damage anyhow), that somehow makes Premium Tanks bad? Premium Tanks are notoriously over-armored and undergunned for their Tier placement. They're not all good, and some of them are outright bad, but overall they're still perfectly viable tanks. Hell, the Hotchkiss is like a credit and XP factory most of the time that I run it, and I'd take the Ram-II over the Sherman or the T-34 any day of the week.

The going line is that World of Tanks will go to release in March, at which point everyone's progress will be hardwiped. Looks like I'm going to run just short of time before I get my Panther and my Tiger II, but I'm on pace to at least get a couple of weeks out of the IS that I'm currently grinding towards.

Actually I find that gold tanks don't perform anywhere as well as comparable tanks that you have to research.

The hard wipe thing sucks but at least the full game will be out with the french tanks included I believe.

I remember getting in after the update with my hummel and then seeing that they added two new SPGs to the game(either that or I failed to notice them before the update).

Hmm. I started playing this last night. Registered with the site, downloaded 1.5gigs of installer and started playing. Was I supposed to be invited or something?


At first I was terrified by the numbers of options and how my shells would bounce off the fronts of the huge tanks. Then, I worked out how transferable exp worked, how to train my gunner and how to listen to Wagner while driving around and it is great! Sucks it will be reset though.

Any news on a cost yet?
