Hey all,

I am kind of a lurker and don't contribute enough. Have been taking pics of completed armies before I sell them.

Now realized I somehow didn't get closeups of 30-block of Spearmen; you can see them in bottom left of army shot. Too bad, my unit filler for that it pretty cool.

Did lots of little freehand on banners, different methods of doing metal, messing around with GW washes which are great. Tried some snow bases and they are definately missing something. Going to spruce them up before I sell it. Maybe add some dead static grass in places as well.

Have been playing Fantasy for about 2 years now and here is my 8th Edition army, Dark Elves. About 2400 pts-ish without fluffing it up; I like to have lots of different units to try out.

Manticore Rider. Looking forward to 'Raging Heroes' Manticore if I ever want to paint one again.

Supreme Sorceress. Pretty tabletop, but I think she looks nice. Was attempting to blend the magic-y stuff, but just couldn't get it down right.

BSB. I enjoyed painting his little details. His back banner was taken from limited ed. Hero on Dark Steed

Avatars of War Sorceress. Enjoyed painting this model and would like to try other ones.

Assassin. Pretty happy with how he turned out.

To celebrate 8th Ed I made a horde unit of Spearmen. I really like how they turned out!

20 Crossbowmen. Actually 2 units of 10 with musicians

Dark Riders. 2 slightly different units converted from plastic Glade Guard.

Shades. I use Shadowblade VERY infrequently, so I painted him up like a regular Shade to serve double-purpose.

Black Guard. I prefer plastic to metal, but these guys were interesting to paint.

Cold One Knights. Made room on tray for a Hero on Cold One or Malus Darkblade. Took forever to highlight Cold Ones because I did scales individually.

Repeater Bolt Thrower. Decided against making a base for it.

Hydras. I really like how these turned out. Some people give me grief for the blue one but screw them, it's awesome

Hope you enjoyed checking them out.

That blue Hydra is pretty cool.

But the witch with the winged hat is an awesome touch,I actually thought it was a GW Dark Elf.

Awesome! Love the blue hydra. Makes sense for a creature raised in the frozen north.

I also love your glade guard conversions. Please consider that idea stolen! (I've always thought the Dark Rider horses looked silly)
