Recently a friend and I have really been getting into Co-Op gaming on the PS3 - and we've been having a blast!

We've finished Army of Two and are going through Army of Two: 40th Day.

Any other suggestions?

I know there's Co-Op campaign mode on Resident Evil 5 - does that also support voice/headeset?

I've heard there's a good Co-Op campaign in CoD: MW2, is this true?

What I'm looking for is:

1) Good Co-Op campaign/story gameplay
2) The ability to talk over headset/bluetooth/whatever

I thought the Bionic Commando Re-Armed (the 2d HD update) was also pretty fun for co-op.

But that is biased towards sharing.
Online co-op I have not used very much despite it being one of my favorite catagories.

Depends on how grown up you want to be , my little brother and me XD both like the co-op on the lego-insert famous franchise here - games but my favourite is starwars.I think resistance fall of man has co-op , but one game that certainly does is borderlands it's an awesome game that play best with friends and has the best art style of recent , imho

I'm not sure otherwise .

MW2 only has coop in the form of "Spec Ops", which are basically reiterations of missions from the campaign of MW2/MW with timeframes to beat them in.

Resistance 2 has something similar, and Resistance: Fall of Man actually had full coop campaign support.

The PSN exclusive Dead Nation is mindlessly fun (mostly). How about Borderlands, for that matter?

Also, the first Army of War was getting on in years, and the connectivity issues were large.

40th Day, being relatively new, didn't have these problems.

I'm tempted by Resistance: Fall of Man - but with Resistance 3 due out soon, I'm worried that they'd be dropping servers for the first game...

Pft. If I can figure out PSN, I'd blast through the Resistance: Fall of Man campaign with you It'd be an easy rental, gets you caught up on the story, etc.

WIth the resistance games the second one brings nothing new to the series and the genre and is a horribly samey game.I'm not sure about co-op but killzone 2 has some awesome multi player and brilliant single play and i think killzone 3 is going to have co-op.

Manchu - no idea on Dead Nation - what kind of game is it?

We're really looking for Co-Op Campaign type of stuff, as I've little (actually ZERO!) desire for Multiplayer Battles which amount to 13 year olds with sniper rifles camping out by spawning points for insta-head shot action.

Somewhat along the lines of:

Borderlands sounds like it fits the bill. So-so single player but great fun co-op.

Fun fact: This is why the only people I'll really play with are Russ and his posse or SilverMk2

Plus Silver is great fun to stick a plasma grenade to and send him running at the enemy.

COD blops has good fun in the Zombie lobbies, online not so much, but Zombies is properlly good fun. mw2 co-op is not too fun. in my opinion. borderlands, now there is a good co-op.

I have to say that I found Borderlands to be deeply unsatisfying. It was just flat and uninteresting and did nothing to draw you in.

That goesw against many recommendations here AND most online reviews I've read too!

I have to say I agree with Silver.

I can't really explain what about Borderlands was so flat, but it was just...eugh. I wanted to like it, I'd heard great things, but then it just felt very "Blargh".

As Kanluwen says, it is hard to pinpoint what it is exactly.

A few things I found fault with:
1) No attachment to characters - have to say I didn't feel anything one way or the other to any of the characters in the game.
2) Missions repetitive and largely boring. Only really enjoyed the confined indoor sections.
3) For a game which brags about "bigillions of guns", there are actually about 6 guns with different colours on them and slightly different stats. Very little modding/upgrading is possible on the guns so there is no real attachment to them. Really irritating to keep finding hundreds of different guns all minutely different from one another.
4) Again with the guns - terrible gun noises/animations do nothing to help you feel like you are a mega death dealing dude of cool.
5) Fething people online who come on with cracked weapons and shields who (which is what happened with me) one shot kill the final boss then log off, or who keep challenging you to a duel, etc.

I'm not saying it is bad... just that there is just something that puts me off about the game itself.

See, Alph if you had a 360 you could be doing coop with me and Silver.

And that always ends amazingly

It is entertaining anyway

Edit: Though my wife has a PS3, so I can play coop on that as well
