The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Close Quarters Action was actually uploaded shortly after Battle Missions was released, so it's just the Surgical Strike mission that's new. Either way, more Battle Missions for the Battle Missions god.

EDIT: The only thing Surgical Strike is missing for use by other armies is to give jump infantry a pseudo-Descent of Angels so they can also arrive by turn one and arrive accurately. But, seeing how Battle Missions is mostly used in casual settings I'm sure it won't be a problem to houserule it.

We've been playing a few of the different Battle Missions of late, and they've been highly entertaining to use.

Not to turn this into a "Battle Missions is pretty awesome" thread, but I agree. Some of the missions are just dumb fun (like the Necron one where it's a pincer ambush), and some of them are a good way to test your ability to make the best of confusing tournament missions or a bad situation on the table.

Unless you're in a rush I find that it's always better to play Battle Missions over the 3 in the rulebook.

EDIT: Minor spelling mistakes as a result of early-morning posting? You don't say?

This entirely. There's been one or two occasions when I've got spanked good and proper in one or two of those missions. But then going back, playing them again, either with more experience or, perhaps, a list more suited to that scenario rather than my regular Big Book Missions force is good fun.

We tend to just roll one at random, and then often swap round and play the same mission in alternate roles.

Makes a nice change of pace, and some of them are pretty cool for using the special characters in/with. I quite fancy taking Fateweaver as the HQ in the surgical strike one anyway.

We have been playing BM lately too and I have found choosing a mish and creating a list around the mish is the best way to have a good game. That being said this one looks to be a little iffy how will an Ork player actually be able to deploy in the middle he wont fit.
