I really like the armor plates hes wearing. I think the scything talon is a bit large for his size, but who cares that is just pure character there

Thats just epic! Only orks use tyranid tails as weapons.

Some constructive criticism for you...
Cons: The tail as a weapon makes the model look out of balance. Perhaps shortening it but still having a point on the end for "propa killyness". A+ for effort, B- for effect.

Pros: the claw attached to the left forearm looks very good. In fact, you could attach another one on the right arm for an Orkish/Wolverine effect. The chitin plates for a helmet, back horns and leg armor is genius. A+ for effort, A+ for effect.

Keep it up. Would love to see more Ork/Nid conversions!

I love those plates. I wish I had a few of those to use.

I will agree with other folks though that the tail as a weapon seems a bit much.
That is just my opinion though.

Here is a quote for all us folks who think its too big.

Anything as a weapon, like everything except that right hand is just to big. But great job.

That's a neato conversion. You should make a bunch of Gretchin combined with pieces from hormaguants or something

Looks like he'd have to keep the arm above his head; if he held it outwards he'd no doubt collapse forward due to the weight...

Sorry but I agree with the first reply; it's silly.

Actually, looking at it, it might not be too big. If it was a Scything talon, or a sword, or something like that, then yeah, that'd be a bit large. But since it's a tail, I think it's being used more as a whip or a lash than anything else. Imagine it flexing and squiming as he squeezes on the nerve clusters where he's holding it.

considering the size of the orks muscles and the size of the tail......which i did up to be like bone........this is no different than a claymore sword..........i am 6'6" and have a 6 ft scottish claymore and can wield it one handed.....and i am not very muscular

Your point? Sorry no offense to either the maker or you, but I agree it looks silly. The effort is there, and so is the idea, but execution was poor. It should have been a scything talon, and not a tail.

Back to wolf, anyways, your 6'6" this means your taller than your sword. Now lets say the ork is x, that sword, tail thing is definitively more than 1.5 x, while you it would be y= you meaning y=y for your sword. Balanced. That ork might be able to hold it up like that or let it drag, but no way is he swinging that thing more than 5 times in a row.

The tail doesn't really work for me, either. Way too big and rounded for a sword, way too fat for a whip. I think you'd be better served by something smaller and either choppier or smashier.

I do agree with many others, though, that the concept is great and the chitin armor plates are a nice touch.

Yeah, used that myself on one of my orks. Got an arm covered in those little chitin plates you used on his legs. gives it a neat, "plate mail' feel for 'eavy Armour.

I have to say, each to their own, I'm not sure if I like this or not, I personaly wouldn't do this, but I don't exactly have an "orky" outlook on things.
