Very nice swirl pattern! I like the color choices, it somehow manages to make a dark model bright without being garish.
I also like the way you did the crystal better than the clear plasic.

He got some Gem's on the back, I think the hold is meant to be like a white underbelly.

Love the pattern, but me being me, there's something else I love even more. I've completely missed the point, but I love that transition of colour on the engine.
Love how nice the white looks also.
Great paint job.

Thanks for the positive comments so far, the underside is actually fortress grey, with a touch of minimal highlighting, but I tried not to do too much to distract from the top. As for the engines, I'm really pleased you noticed- it was the only area I wanted to do any wear and tear on, especially to take the shine off the gold. Technique was taken from the painted gk land raider variant on the fw website.

I really like the freehand, the pilot and the prism itself. Most though, is the burnt metal on the engine exaust, they look almost super heated. If you don't mind, what did you use for making the burnt metals?

For the metal I basecoated scorched earth brown, 2 layers of thinned gold then an ogryn flesh wash liberally applied. After that I dry brushed some more scorched brown, followed by a 50:50 mix of chaos black and adeptus battle grey, leaving some brown showing. Finally a light dry brush with space wolves grey on the dark grey areas to portray the residue. Hope that helps! Thanks again for all the compliments- it definitely spurs me on to better things!
