Thanks guys. We have more detail work to do but We were excited to have a working board that we made. I bought a trench piece then modified it. Then my buddy made a mold and he turned out a bunch of them. We took pics along the way and we are going to add more matching pieces. It took about 4 work days to this point. When this one is done we will start another one and probably do a better tutorial.

Looks pretty cool.

Some more complex double line/reserve/communications trenches would look cool, as would some dugouts

A bit more of a zig zag would also look good.

Maybe an exploded bit/collapsed wall?

However, overall, very good

Just need to make the table texture itself look a bit more interesting and this will make an excellent table to play on.

We were going to go all out with trenches then decided for game play purposes to tone it down so the board wouldnt be a one trick pony. We are definitely going to add more matching pieces and a wall is a great idea. A command bunker is in the works as is a larger piece of burned out woods. More ideas please!

My own WIP trench board has a shelled communications trench:

I also have a small bunker/gun emplacement built into one of the corner bends:

Tali'Zorah: I appreciate what you're doing here, Shepard.
Commander Shepard: Well, I care deeply about the quarian people.
Tali'Zorah: It's good to be back on the Normandy.
Commander Shepard: Let me know if it's too quiet for you to sleep, and I'll find you someplace louder.
Tali'Zorah: Hmm.
Garrus Vakarian: Uh, I was there when you two had your thing, remember? Just get a room and work it out.

Thats awesome. I would love to go into that detail but this gets used in a store and I feel it has to be adjustable to suit the majority of the players and game types.

To be honest, I'm happy GW doesn't sell terrain like this. The prices would be through the atmosphere and it's actually fun to make your own stuff.

Great terrain, I wish that I was able to make such good trenches for my guard.
