I have my Sons of Malice log and would like to keep it focused on them. So I have decided to start one other thread to contain any random power armored minis I build or paint.

So to start, a Night Lords Astartes:

*on the rear of this thigh armor, there is light reflecting off of him that makes a weird 'H' shape with his lightening mark. Sort of happy with the lightening marks but I think I need a better brush a one or two more blue colors.

*I am REALLY happy with his Terror Mark!

I hope to make a kill-team of these warriors for the heck of it. If I do build up more I will combine them with efforts to paint up another one of my favorite legions, the Iron Warriors.

And some of my older stuff:
Iron Warriors-

One marine is not pictured in the squad. They are currently on sale but I have been thinking about keeping them for my potential Chaos Undivded army where I would go half and half alongside the NL.

Blood Angels-

This is my humble attempts one of the loyalist legions that I am a fan of (they were at Terra so they get big props in my personal opinion). I do want to try another attempt at their red though...this one is too dark and It makes me think of the Angels Vermilion instead of the crimson colored BA.

Imperial Fists-

The Imperial Fists are my favorite loyalist. They were chosen as the Emperor's Praetorian and there is no greater honor than that in my book. *the Alpha Legion astartes, in true cunning, was able to sneak into the pic for a photobomb moment. He is my first successful attempt at trying (emphasis on that word) to to mimic Migsula's work.

I do have a playable army of IF but I do not have a current picture. They are also some of my first minis and lack basing, my humble attempts at highlighting, and such. Hope to get back to them one day to make them above table-top standard!

Thanks for having a look!

I like the Night Lord and the Iron Warriors, they look good. The Alpha Legion photobomb is great too.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

Thanks Cadaver! I always think it is cool to see another person from Austin online!

Anyways, I kind of forgotten about this log so I will rememdy this with pics:

I had a small IF army built up and have decided that this summer I will try to make it into a better looking force with some added Blood Angels, Red Scorpions, and Marines Malevolent in the mix.

Now for more pics! (Most are PIP)

This is the AoBR Dread from the earlier pic who was dismantled, paint stripped, rebuilt, and repainted (with an attempt at freehand that continues onto the top of the arm).

An old school Blood Angels Terminator in the early was THE FIRST ever WH40K/GW thing I had ever seen. So with some old school termies lying I wanted to paint them up BA as a nod to the mini that got me sucked into the hobby(which took a decade because I moved to Okinawa where finding GW products would be like looking for leprechauns on the moon).

I am still looking for a more suitable red recipe however. These guys are blood colored but glossy. Even if I could apply a matte finish I would still not be too keen on them. I have considered a paint mix of blood red and dark flesh to get a nice crimson look. Any suggestion?

A test marine for the Red Scorpions using a BfM mini. I am not really sold on this mini...besides the need for more details...something seems off.

A Marine Malevolent standing around while is brother is used as a landing pad. The MM will be tougher for me to model in the sense that I would like to make them appropriately with older marks of armor and what not. This test mini was refreshing to paint after several SoM, I love painting yellow and improving upon it.

Then the main objective of this thread, to make a good looking Imperial Fist. I wish to improve on my earlier recipe with a more simpler and more effective one and I must say I am quite happy with it.

and my latest endeavor:

Very happy with how he has come out so far!
