Okay, time to get my biomechanical ass back in gear and awaken from the slumber between galaxies.

Kudos and many thanks to Kroothawk for keeping the Ouroboros scheme alive around here.

SCUBA diving is a deep passion of mine.
One of the most amazing creatures I ever encountered under water (and only at night !) is the Bobbit Worm.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobbit_worm

which is truly like a little Tyranid creature already on our planet.

Together with Simon "Hydra" Schnitzler I cooked up a plan to morph up a Tyranid creature which resembles the theme.
So Simon custom sculpted three variants and I had a couple of them cast.

But enough rambling, here`s the critter...

Dude, that looks awesome! Awesome sculpt and paintjob. I appreciate the link and info on the Bobbit Worm, too! I was not aware of that nasty little bugger. Though it doesn't seem like it's known for eating small children or anything, it's still pretty nasty.

Beautiful work! I love that paint scheme (and its execution).

I actually stumbled upon your website some years ago, and was awe-struck at your creations. I've had it bookmarked since

It's nice to see you're still at it, and still providing inspiration.

You want more wacky looking undersea creatures to try and make 'Nid models out of? I've got so many I could share with you, one of my favorites being the Stoplight Loosejaw, could easily represent a Mawloch

Stunning. You've always been my al time favorite Tyranid modeler and this is why.

You say you had them cast, is there any way we mere mortals can get our hands on them? Or do they contain GW bitz (well camoflaged if it does)?

Although I've never heard of a Bobbit worm, they look pretty scary.

The model is great! Nice to know that you haven't stopped working on your Nids.

PM me if you want me to draw anything related to Warhmmer 40k. I will put it in my gallery for all to see.

OK, that thing freaks me out. WAAAY too realistic. If I saw that on the table when playing it would screw up my entire game.

I can't think of anything you could have done better on that. Awesome job!

Wow ! Didn`t expect that many answers. So many thanks for the warm welcome and all the lovely flowers.

@Medium of Death: I am returning to modeling and painting after a long hiatus due to a horrible year and a painful breakup with my wife.
But the good news is that I am enjoying myself tremendously right now. There are a couple more `nids in the pipeline.
And a follow up to my Alien Hunter Warhound,...

http://demonwinner.free.fr/canada/2009/golden_demon_winner.php?categorie=3

...a Reaver Titan with even more bling.

The Moloch scheme is pretty much done for me though...

@Azure: Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn`t known about the Stoplight Loosejaw. Glad that they are so small....

@Moltar: Yeah, same as above. If Bobbits were of man-eating-size...>shudder<

@lessthan1337: Indeed I have played the odd game with my `nids over the years. ;-)
But recently only *very* little which made it even funnier that my tactical insight was quoted in WD last year.
I`d probably use the wyrm as a Ravener.

@All those who expressed interest in a cast: I never intended or considered the wyrm casts for distribution, so only a very small run was done. But if anyone`s seriously interested drop me a line.
No GW parts were used in the sculpt...

That's a beautiful creation, even if it is rather disturbing. Well done! I'll be sure to have a trawl around your website to see more.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman
