Newbie Black Templar Neophyte

A brief introduction and history... where to start?

Me?! I'm from the UK, 28 Years old, Names Justin, most people call me 'J' or ' ' or ' ', former 40k player returning. History below gives a bit more detail.

First started playing way back when I was 16 years old. My first venture into 40k was 'Gorka Morka' which eventually lead to me starting an Orc army for 40k. After a brief time playing with school mates and such, I left the hobby to concentrate more on studies in college. Around 2002 I got in touch with one of my old 40k school friends 'Sam' and got back into it... this time however as Necrons. Between 2002-2006 I dabled with Space marines - Black Templars, Orcs (Again, but you can't hate Orcs), Tau and a pretty small Eldar force.

Sam died in a car crash in june 2006, 5 year anniversary in a week, after which I stopped, everything got packed away and it never saw the light of day... again until about 2 weeks ago. I'm moving house soon so thought lets have a clearout... found all my paints (all of which you could use as house bricks... soild rock!) and all my models (which includes 1 unfinished Necron Pylon from Gamesday 2005), although not as many as i thought... I think I may of sold a load a while back.

I got curious, went looking at new stuff that had come out... Dark Eldar being rereleased, looking very cool now as well. Some sweet new models from forgeworld. All the looking and reading kinda got me back into it, although to be honest i don't think i'll play a game anytime soon, it's the modelling and painting I'm attracted to (might take a me a century or 10 to get to the standards I've seen on here). Which is what brought me here, been reading for about a week or so and theres some STUNNING work on here so I thought I'd join up and absorb some inspiration.

So here I am... my first task... finish my 40 Necron warriors... Ouch! Then on to my Black Templars although I only have a hand few of models. First planned conversion either 'Finish' my scratch built Orc Wartrukk or 'finish' my Necron Lord or 'finish' my Necron Heavy Destroyer or start a new one, was thinking of doing a Black Templar Termie squad but with a difference. So many choices!!

So thats me... to a degree at least.
