these look a hell of a lot better then my first minis. So in my opinion they look good, and if it makes you feel better I've been painting for like 5 years now, and the stuff I see here still makes my models look like crap lol.

these guys look quite a bit better than my first minies (more like plastic doused in half a lite of unthinned paints), i do however see some randomish splats of red over the marines i dont know if this is intentional (blood maybe?) but if it isnt then never fear! its easy to fix and doesnt take much time if they arent intended i suggest taking a quick check over your models when they are done (its what i do).

Yea the red was intentional, I wanted them to look a little bloodied, not the most effective way to do that though haha

You can definetely paint inbetween the lines, all you need to do is learn techniques, Highlighting, drybrushing ect.

Not bad at all for a start, keeping your painting neater and watching a couple of tutorials for new techniques would help you ! Good job mate !

They look very good! A lot better then the first ones I painted.

Although a small advice, have you ever used a black wash?
If not, perhaps give it a try.

Looks good to me, especially for the first time youve painted minis.

Regarding blood. People will obviously have different methods so here's mine. For old blood stains i use a thin layer of scab red over the effected area, then drybrush a layer of red gore over the top, making sure to leave a "rim" of scab red around the edge of the smear. The darker tones make it look like dried blood, for fresh blood you could lighten it to red gore and blood red instead.

Sorry, didn't want to come accross as lecturing (mostly coz my painting is a long way from great) but i hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice guys.
I would have used some other techniques but unfortunatly I only had the paints that came out of the starter set which are very basic colors.

Lead us from despair to hope,

Lead us to his strength
