My first finecast... this one came out of the package with nothing wrong with it... so a good casting on this one...

As always... any comments or corrective criticism is very very welcome...

I like the simplicity of it and I really love the sword. The deep blood red is an awesome color choice for the eyes and jewels. It is very subdued and doesn't shout out "I need to look pretty to prove how tough I am" like many models do. I think you need to highlight or dry-brush the armor with some grey to make it stand out. In the good lighting you can see the detail, but in normal lighting it will look very black and one dimensional.

I like how you kept it simple, yet gave good attention to the detail work (like the winged shoulder pad). Looks good.

Thanks for the comment... My goal was to use the K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid) method... It was my first finecast more to come... The armor did come out too black, tried a new technique of glazing... I think it worked really good on the cloth but not so good on the armor...

Thanks a lot... I followed a youtube video on NMM gold... those wings alone took me 3 hours and a total of 10 layers of colors...

Yeah I think it looks really good, but I think the armor needs a bit more depth.

I see no flaws, you've gone for a good 'realistic' approach in my opinion. It's certainly very clean

I found it easier to bring out the details in the finecast. Also the resin is really easy to mod, working on a Marshal right now swapping out the power weapon for lightning claws.

My personal opinion is the finecast was easier to apply the base coat and bring out the details. I think the only benefit to the metal was the durability of the model. The finecast feels even more fragile then the basic plastic space marines.
