Subject: My First ever Land Raiders - Crimson Fists - Highly detailed and magnetized...whatcha think?
I have painted 5 rhinos but these are my first ever land raiders. I have magnetized every option so that I can store them/carry them easily without having them break, but also did duplicate weapons so that both can be turned into land raiders, crusaders, or redeemers.
Here are some pics, but the real goodiness is in the HD Video below.
Superb job. I watched the video and your intro is really hard to read and I'm not a big fan of the script work, but love the details you put into it and the cleanliness of the finished model. Very nice job on the interior.
Also, the pictures didn't load for me.

These look great, really nice paint job. You did ask for both positive and negative, so I'm gonna moan about my one pet hate - did I spy mould lines on the arm of the marine manning the multi melta? Other than that can't fault them, great work!
Cat, I hate you. And I mean this in the nicest possible way! I was just about to put up some pics of the Redeemer I have done because I thought it was pretty good, then I look at this and realise that mine is garbage by comparison! Beautifully painted, it really is awesome.
I'm off to cry into some empty sprues...

I agree, Hot starr, post your work!! the way I look at it is are you improving as a painter? Don't compare to others work, compare to previous models you have painted. Cheers!

Well, you did ask for the negative, so I am going to complain about one of my pet hates.
Personally, the edge highlighting is to harsh for me. It would(to me) look a lot better if it was not as harsh on the edges. A pet hate, but some people might agree with me.
Other than that, I am amazed!
Dwarves-about 2000 points, most unpainted. Kill me now.

I echo the sentiment that you should post your pics to the Dakka gallery! It will make putting them into these threads a lot easier.
Anyway, excellent work! You did a pretty good assembly job on these; the gap that sometime develops along the top track guards is noticeably absent here I think the edge highlighting is awesome; it works really, really well for SM vehicles IMO, and you did a superlative job with it here in terms of crispness and cleanness.

Cat, as always, I'm loving your Fists and these look great. The feedback that I always got regarding mine was to make the red pop more, but I like the toned down red scheme that you're using here. Very nice.
I do agree that actual script of some kind would look best compared to squiggles, but if you're going to use squiggles, make them thinner, smaller, and closer together.
Have you done any tutes on the improved door mechanic? I'd love to see the details on that as the two second hand raiders I've picked up have had the doors broken, requiring them to be glued shut.
What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell
Thanks for the feedback guys, I always want the good and the bad! I may be doing a 3rd landraider so if I do, i will do a tutorial on how I revamped the door system. Thanks again guys,
Cat
