So yeah. i heard about AoP a week before it was due and decided i would go for it. Speed projects seem to be the only ones I get done. Lucked out and only one other person entered. I think I will head down to Dallas for competitions from now on because it kinda takes the thrill out of victory when you basically win by default.

had a 6 day blog over here http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/377351.page

So here it is

I bet it was this sign that got me the win over the other entry... heh

So yeah, I am perhaps slightly more proud of it that I should be but it was a neat learning experience to build this. i never really did any terrain before and now I feel like I could take on a much more challenging project when the opportunity comes along.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts forever.

Considering also your duty as a warrior you should not waver. Because there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a righteous war.

When you say "head down to Dallas", am I to assume that means you're in OKC? Or Tulsa?

"CAUTION: This sign has sharp edges". I love it! Although I've seen that image macro somewhere...

Even though you didn't have any competition, your army is still very nicely painted! The AoBR Captain is good, but I think the sword needs a little work. The background of the blade is a little dark in comparison to the lightning effect, maybe just lightening the colour would work well.

Great Job. I won at my local store also. There were only 3 entries including mine there. The manager took my home and email address for some reason, maybe a certificate or something is coming to go with the little medal.
