When I was digging through my old stuff at home, I found a beat up Chaos rhino painted in gold craft store spraypaint. I probably picked it up off eBay years ago, but never got around to doing anything with it. Well, I wrestled off the Chaos parts, and with some good use of a knife and glue, I was able to clean it up for my Crimson Fists! This is also one of my first forays into extreme edge highlighting, where after doing the edges, I highlight the corners with an even lighter shade for emphasis. Unfortunately a lot of the weathering I did isn't showing up well in the photos, but you get the idea! Check it out:

And here it is with the squad it will be carrying; I painted them a long time ago, but I never got around to taking decent pictures:

Thanks I'm trying to get more old school rhinos, as I still have another 10 RT Marines without a ride, and a lot of 2nd ed guys who could use one too.

Classic minis are a great thing to see, this is when 40K was 40K! Excellent restoration on the Rhino, and those Rogue Trader guys are great, I like the old paintjob just the way it is. Man, those old figures had so much character...

The old metals really did have a lot of character missing from modern plastics. I don't think I'd trade the plastics we have now for them, but I really do love that every guy was completely distinct!
