Hey guys, i have finished painting 5 chaos space marines, hope you guys like 'em, PM me if you wanna know how i did it, btw this is my first go at painting. The horns arent painted since i dont have the paints.Donno why the last three wont work but there group photos and arent as important.

That's not bad for your first attempt at painting.

It looks like a lot of paint though - either too thick or too many coats. I would try thinning the paint down. You can also go back and cover the painted over parts (like the metallic on the top side of the backpack's vents).

You did a great job at the bases too! Keep up the work!

Thanks for the consructive criticsm, btw i like having those dots on the vents, they are on purpose, but irealise theirs lots of black where there shouldnt be.

Its a bit messy but really good for a first ry, personnaly, i would have painted those horns bleached bone.

Besides painting back over your runs I would use less wash. Washes are great but too much kills all the color. To combat that after you use a wash dry brush the primary color back up/out. That way it's slow and you have a lil more control on how bright it comes out. And that will help make them pop. Instead of just stained black. Hope this is helpful. Great job.

I agree, this was a good first paint job, i never have and never will post my first marines i painted(when i was 12), they were amazing...is amazing the right word...no, they were disgusting, but i still love em!

Yeah what he said, I made that mistake as well it would also help to not base your models completly in static grass, as now they're fighting in the Eternal Crusade of Astroturf-VII

The only thing is, use a smaller brush for the eye sockets because theyre a tad messy. Other than that, well played =]
