Hi, i after having SO much fun creating conversions for my orks, i realised i hate having to paint 300+ boyz and wished there was a better team for conversions, which team do you suppose would come in ''second place'' for having the best conversion possibilities, out of the following teams, CSM's, Eldar and Tau? ''3rd'' and ''4th'' rankings also please and then some good units to convert, and, i'm only currently collecting chaos since the others are all 4th ed so in any case i would love conversion ideas for them, i know its asking alot but it would be greatly appreciated!

IMHO
1. CSM-spikey anything evil, its a lot fo fun, plus you can make them all have mutations or whatever.
2. Tau- the suits can be really customizable, im sure you've seen the dynamic entry motivational poster, if not look it up.
3. Eldar- sadly msot of their line is metal and i hard to convert, but i don't have a ton of experience with them so that's just from what i understand.

CSM's by FAR. I played Eldar and despaired at how little you can custom them. Tau I'm not so sure about but almost all Tau stuff I see looks the same. But Chaos... mmm... with the 4 different gods (+ Chaos undivided) and the mutation and the cult marines, and the tons of different warbands (so easy to make an awesome one up!)... the possibilities are awesome.

Sadly i already started word bearers... but have only painted 10 guys and will change the scheme only a wee bit Thanks for the strong and clear comments guys, really usefull, sorry that i kinda lashed out their... **hug**

Hey, we can always use more hugs! Throw up some in progress work and a blog or something like that for even more inspiration!

Sadly (well kinda ) Im of to europe for vacation soon, and im low on money... i just wanna prepare and get the idea in my head, im thinking of using led's.

Ill probably have time to create a warband before i leave ( next, next sunday)

Ya, thinking of putting some green one's in their mouths to get a undead feel, a question: is it legal to replace the chainswords of normal CSM's with possed arms that count as ccw?

As long as you clarify with your opponent. Though you may want to put a CCW on them just in case (to "represent" the CCW). Like, on their side I mean.

I know this isn't really one of the the options you listed but....

This is just my (slightly bias) opinion but persoanlly I think guard are pretty good for conversions.

You've got Cadian and Catachans plus any Empire or Bretonnian bits. Then there's forge world (for renegade or special bits) and green stuff.

Thats not even including all the 3rd party bits you can like Pig Iron.

Out of the ones you list I'd go CSM because you get because you have Blood angels, grey knight, dark angel, vanilla and space wolves bits to go mad with in addition to actual CSM parts.
