well being 600pts, my groups has decided to allow some flexibility on what is allowed into a formation(basically just get an Company HQ, and fit what ever else you can in).

so here is what I have:

Company HQ: 250pts
1x Tiger 1 E

Weapons Platoons: 100pts
2x Sd Kfz 7/1(Quad 2cm)

Support Platoons: 250pts
Gepanzerete Panzergrenadier Platoon:
HQ:
SMG & Panzerfaust Command Team
Sd Kfz 251/10(3.7cm)

2x Panzergrenadier Squads(2x MG Team, 1x AT, Half Track, in each squad)

it is packing a ton of anti troop weapons(on the move the Quads are producing 10 shots, sitting still 12). I seem to be lacking on the AT department, though hopefully I can rely on the Tiger's gun to take a tank or two down before being engaged in return, and with the Stormtrooper moves I can just play peek a boo with the enemy armor for a while.

well gut out the list Dakka, and let me know what you think.

Hmm.... Are you dead set on the SS Schwere list? The recent "Heer" Schwere list from Earth and Steel has the tigers a bit cheaper, and more choices on supporting units.

Other than that, the list seems okay. It´s not easy fitting Tigers into 600pts....

well it's not like I have much of a choice in the matter, as the Company HQ has to be a Tiger 1E(though I rather do like having two Tiger Ace Skills for him). its not so much that I am set, its that I really don't have the funds to throw $50 on a rule book, now if they had a smaller expansion that was $15-$25 yeah I'd be interested(like the Airborne softback I got to play USA Forces).

yeah they are pricey, but I love'em (got 7 Tiger 1Es' so far), the list also gives me access to Panthers(another favorite), no doubt I can get them cheaper, I just like having the Tigers as the heart of my army. though I am feeling the lack of infantry.

though if I am reading it right, the SS Schwere are allies to all other German companies, and IIRC they can also do the same with all other German Units. so in theory couldn't I take the needed Company HQ, and then just mix and match what I need at the points listed.

now with my love of the Tigers aside, I have the following units:

3x Panthers
5x Stug G
1x Jagdpanther
3x 2cm Quad Half Tracks(the two from the list included)
Panzergrenadier Platoon: 1HQ 3xSquads (this includes whats from the list)

now what book/s would I best be served getting ahold of, I already have the Ostfront book, and have had a rough glance through them. also what should be my next direction in my expansion, I am thinking of either more Infantry, or maybe some art.( I am loving those Panzerwerfer 42). I'll have to dig around for some cheaper and to scale of FOW models to fill out these slots though(8 42s is a total of $112 in retail value >< that or find someone looking to get into Witch hunters. I am not that much into the historical aspect of the game, I just the look of the tanks and feel of the game itself.

Ah, i actually meant that the "Earth and Steel" book has two Tiger lists, one SS, one normal. And they are both "better" than the one in the booklet in the Tigers Marsch box (I´m guessing that´s the list you´re using.

Funnily enough I just started a Tiger company myself, and while I dig the idea of the elite SS guys, I felt that the 503rd Heavy Panzer list is a lot more interesting, more choice in units and cheaper too pointswise.

Nebel and Panzerwerfers are good, they have a large fear factor (at least around here), which is good since it may take some of the hellstorm off your Tigers.

I know what you mean about the german heavies, I´ve liked them forever, but have been collecting a US army, and wanted to get that done first.

The AA half-tracks are really important with the Tigers, they have no AA of their own, so any air assault will hurt them badly.
I´d get some scouts as well, keep those ambushes away, other than that, infantry is also very good. Sadly none of the Tiger lists are really made for powerful builds (at least I haven´t seen any so far), but they´re a lot of fun to put down on the table!

Good luck.
