Finished this guy up for our local pressganger here.
I'm fairly pleased with how he turned out. Battle damage and winter grime is still not my Forte to be sure but I think he'll be passable at the table top level.
Thanks for looking.
More pics and some WIP here. http://scottysworkshop.blogspot.com/

You "think" he'll be passable for table-top level? For sure he'll be passable at table-top level! Everything is neat and simple; everything is good. It's always a nice change to see some Warmachine stuff on the forums. Edit: Very effective weathering, by the way!

Thats a very nice looking jack. the weathering conceals whatever it is you find less than superb.
I think the natural pose helps define it even better than the paint. I do love that red though, it has just the right tone without leaning to orange or magenta.

Thanks! I do like that red as well, it is the Khador red base from the P3 line. I really, really like their paints quite a lot.
Again thanks for the comments. I was afraid no one cared since he wasn't a space marine of some sort.

I normally don't look in warmachine threads, and to tell you the truth I thought this was a demon thread When I clicked. The Rust effects on this mini are awesome though, as is the snow.

I'll have to look into that, I was always under the impression khador red was more orangey, but what U see there has a vey nice hue.
And yea, I know how you feel about posting non- gw stuff here. I really feel like too many great painters don't get their due credit here just because of the manufacturer of their chosen models. Things are changing though, there are about ten non- gw threads on the painting showcase front page now where there used to be one every 6 pages.
What color did you use for the rust? I like how it gets that realistic yellow tinge when it's thinned out over the white.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman |
