Painted up a MkIV marine for my Dark Angels successors, was pretty happy with it so thought I'd put it up here, might add some battle damage at a later date as it's kinda clean looking but ready for the tabletop.
Due to their stance these MkIV marines stand noticeably taller than most normal marines and tower over the old 2nd Ed. ones. Also serves to show you how bad my old marines looked from the last time I painted some.
Poor, poor Frank, he's going to get a complex.

I love MkIV - is it all forgeworld?
I like the colour scheme - doesn't scream Dark Angels to me though!
Also the combi-melta looks MASSIVE!

Battle-Brother Frank! He gets gets picked on a lot by the jocks in Deathwing...
On a more serious note, the color scheme is very nice, my only problem is the knee-pads. other than that, it is a very solid model.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'd never really noticed the kneepad thing before, it's a solid piece so it's not like I attached it wrong, guess I just caught it at a funny angle.
@Phototoxin: Yeah it's a forgeworld mode. As regards the scheme, well, they're supposed to be pretty far removed from their parent chapter so i guess that fits.

I like it! Very nice paint job. Perhaps you could paint the kneepads the same red as well?

That is a really cool model and an impressive paint job. What if you painted the kneepads and the gloves white like the face part is?

Nice paint job and pose. Great work!
The picture of Frank and your comment about him having a complex had me on the floor. I sense a potential meme. Oh Frank...
P.S. Just noticed the legs are a bit empty. I'd suggest red shins and one white kneecap? Otherwise he's looking shnazzy!

Really nice painting... but why leave the legs as plain black? They look more like you haven't got around to painting them rather than part of the chapter colours.
Painting the kneepads and the boots red would look great and tie the rest of the colours in nicely i think.
